Great range of drinks available, especially the whisky options. The building is interesting, being an old jail, and the indoor seating area are the old jail cells. Outdoor seating in the courtyard is also great with plenty of rooms, heaters and screens to watch sports.

One of the best pubs in Liverpool. Proper local atmosphere. Excellent service, super friendly staff and a superb selection of beers. Love the changing drafts beers too. An added bonus, it's just around the corner from me :)

One of the best pubs you could wish to visit. Great welcome by staff and manager, was remembered from visiting 10 months back. Superb beer and lovely building. The best pub in Liverpool if not England.

I live across the road and have been here every other day for the better part of a year. This really is the best bar in the city, all the staff are so welcoming and friendly, and they pour the best pint of guiness too. Get yourself here next time you're in the city

A secret Hideaway in the ropewalks district of Liverpool.It used to be an old police station and is secluded behind an old red brick wall, which encloses a lovely little walled beer garden.They have a great selection of draught beers (including many craft ales) and a wide range of whisky's, gins and other spirits.The team are excellent.The prices are fair for such a lovely venue.

Spotlessly clean and well kept. Good beer and set up in a historic setting. Great pub.

Really enjoyed our afternoon at the Bridewell. Excellent attentive service from Jerry (Gerry?) who was a wealth of knowledge. 5 of us in our own cell was perfect for a 'catch up'. We could talk without being drowned out by music in a pub full of character. Spotless throughout including toilet facilities. Nice little outside area also.

Excellent place, was greeted by the landlord on the door who introduced his self, extremely friendly. Service after this was exceptional, great beer selection. Lots of TVs around the place was the perfect spot to watch the West Brom game. Will have to return and visit the cells.

Really love the design and interior of this place. Didn't get to sit in the cell booths but would come back to do so! Nice red wine & really helpful staff.
