Miller & Carter Otterspool in Liverpool

Our wedding is one year from today so we decided to celebrate by coming to this restaurant for some nice food and drinks and a stroll down the water, couldn’t have made a better choice.The staff are so incredibly helpful and friendly and tended to our every need. The food was absolutely sublime, my fiancé informed the restaurant of our occasion and they sat us at the window so we could watch sunset and they even brought out a desert that said congratulations on it. We have had the most amazing evening made so much better by the people at this restaurant, I cannot thank them enough. My server was Ethan and he was just fantastic! So personable and helpful for us. Thank you so so much this is a night we will remember for a very long time.

Usually enjoy Miller & Carter but not on this occasion wasn't happy with the service before I received my starter which was three of the tiniest chicken wings I'd ever seen Which then worsen my mood when the next table order the same thing and one of their wings were big than all three of mine. Asked for the steak to be cooked medium and it came rare.A far from an enjoyable experience

Everything was great. We were welcomed and sat down right on time. Peter, our waiter, was very welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable about what to order. Food was quick and excellent quality. The vegetarian option was really nice too. The only down side was we had to wait for our fries and when they came only one portion was brought. Other than that, the experience was faultless and we will be back.

As you enter the restaurant the atmosphere is great, it is clean and tidy, no blaring music. We were shown to our table straight away, no waiting round. The table was clean and prepared. Our order was taken and drinks and food served in a timely manner, but without rushing. The steaks are amazing and I tried a New York Strip for the first time. I was not disappointed. It was amazing.

We were served by Grace who was friendly, polite and professional. Our drinks were served promptly which was just what we needed on a hot day.We opted for the sharing butchers block, the steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were beautiful too.The overall experience was fantastic and we will be returning.

I had lunch with two other friends. Found the outside setting was very welcoming as was the interior. We had a substantial lunch which all of us enjoyed very much. We were asked what drinks we would like quite soon after we sat down, which was very much appreciated as we were all thirsty after the flight. Our choice of meal was as described on the menu, I had Hake which was delicious. Our server Emilie was extremely courteous and kind. Helping to explain the menu.As to what you could change nothing as everything was perfect. Thank you 🙏

Classic steakhouse with plenty of choices of beef, the sides are also good, desserts as well. Service is great. Lucky to get a table without able to reserve. The staffs are very helpful and give good recommendations.

Not been to a Miller and Carter Restaurant before, so we thought we'd give it a try.Service and food were fantastic, my fillet steak 8oz was cooked exactly as ordered and my wife had the Cod and Chips, which she really enjoyed.Will visit again

EDIT in response to reply: I appreciate the effort to take action on my review, so I will move it to a 3 star from one. However I would like to be clear that I said we didn't get a read back at all, it's not like we sat quiet when given the wrong read back. As for the desert we ordered we got that one to make up for the fact we had spent 10 pound on a quarter of a lettuce which I'm glad to hear you clean properly.Was recommended this place by a friend only to be left bitterly disappointed by the food on offer. It's basically a harvester that thinks it's better than harvester. I came here for a slightly more expensive dining experience so the prices were as expected however with a higher price I expect a higher value. This was not the case. Our waitress made the honest mistake of hearing our order wrong, and when asked if our meal was okay we said it was only to discover a member of our group had stayed quiet and had infact been served the wrong thing - this was our fault. And respect to that waitress for bringing it to the managers attention who offered us a free dessert presumably in the hopes that it would distract from the honest mistake, which could of been avoided if A. The waitress read back our order to us before sending it to the kitchen B. We had identified that it was actually not the meal we ordered (they were similar it's not like we were served soup instead of steak were not stupid). The meal that did arrive was a hake salad, I'll pop a picture onto this review so you can see it. I have no idea how this lettuce was washed all the way through and it can be guaranteed to be clean but I assume the food hygiene rating takes that into account? However for 11 pound (not including the fish) you get a quarter of a lettuce, like straight up we joked about saving it for our tortoise but instead decided not to when we realised we couldn't verify how clean it was, we genuinely put more effort into our pets salad then they did ours. Which is why I'm leaving this review free desert aside I just was bitterly disappointed and although I appreciate the efforts by the manager. I don't think I should leave a gleaming 5 star review that could lead people into eating here when there are plenty of alternative places to eat at this price point with a far superior quality.

Absolutely unreal. The server was spot on she was so friendly and unintrusive very friendly and cheerful.The food is absolutely delicious. The only criticisms I would have is that the nachos for the kids had an odd seasoning on them. It was all spice or something I think but they were over spiced for kids so probably wouldn't recommend them or order them again. The mac and cheese from the kids menu is a very small serving but that's literally all I could fault if I was looking. My husband and I both had steak and it was just spot on as you'd expect. I had a creamy potato bacon and cheese extra - 10/10 would highly recommend. Husband ordered the lobster tail side and again wasn't disappointed.Its not a cheap meal out BUT it was delicious and worth every penny especially as a nice treat.Would recommend and will definitely return.
