Ocean Fry in Liverpool

Special chow mein hardly any meat in it very poor portion size even the noodles were bland . This place used to do excellent food and for £6.50 I expected a lot better

This used to be a great chippy, gone downhill. Got myself fish and chips and my sons had chip buttys. Chips had little flavour and fish was cold. Disappointing

I usually go to this chippy found it ok but ordered a noodle box and a large fish and special curry fried rice .. all 16 pound so i thought food came but ni fish phoned up saud i would gef one dropped off wirhout delivery charge it cane was supposed to be a large fish but it wasnt i paid 4.50 so altogether was 0ver 20 pound i thought it was expensive ...fish is usually really nice thats why i order from there but i thought this was expensive not sure if i will go there again

Food arrived lukewarm at best. The doner kebab had to be the smallest I've ever seen and the pitta was rock hard. Chips looked like they'd been cooked on a radiator. Won't be using again.

Food was terrible. poor services. they even tried to take the money twice.Update.They offered a refund and a replacement meal. I declined. I just want to forget the matter. Then I was told they was looking for me on social media. Very strange and worrying.It’s called Gateacre fish bar now.

This used to be a great chippy. Gone down in my estimation massively . Poor portions, always missing parts of your order . When you phone back rude and unacceptable excuses . Used it for 20 years never again it’s rubbish . Ps my brother ordered a kebab etc last weekend. They said it was on its way, never got delivered. Don’t trust them unless your desperate.Worst ever !!!

This chippy has renamed itself to Gateacre Fish Bar. We ordered our food just after 16:30, the lady on the phone said 45-60 minutes which was fine given the current pandemic, 1hr 30 min later we were still waiting so we called again only to be told it would be another 30 minutes, we stood by that again, putting into consideration the current circumstances, 45 minutes later still nothing so the last call we made she said the food was still waiting and hadn’t even been sent out for delivery, which could cause potential food poisoning. We ended up needing to cancel. Absolutely appalling service given by this chippy as it was our first time trying it, if they had been open and honest from when we ordered that would have been acceptable however they expected us to wait nearly 3 hours for food that we ordered just after they opened, took our number and didn’t even bother to call us. will not be returning back.

I'm disappointed to say that this was a 1 star because the service was bad I had to wait 3 hours to get my food! The food was disgusting and made me get sick so I probably gotten food poisoning from the food I'm genuinely disappointed with this takeaway their food used to taste good but now it doesn't so I'm thinking this business might have to shut down for the sake of people's healths or maybe get better chefs

Ordered a special fried rice with bbq sauce from here and never again. The rice was all soggy and i couldn`t eat it. I`v not been here for a long time and i won`t be returning. Beware everyone the quality of the food is awful

Ordered there last night, haven't used the chippy for a while. but the food was amazing, arrived quick and hot. Chips perfect and all meals correct, cashiers very friendly, new management in shop and it shows. Will be ordering again. Happy to have a good chippy to order from again.
