Penny Lane Wine Bar in Liverpool

Shame that the sound was on for football viewing but not for rugby! Nice environment inside

We had an okay experience the first time we visited this bar, however on returning we had an awful bar tender with long black hair who accosted us outside the bar after we had left, calling us obnoxious and behaving very confrontationally, clearly trying to start a fight, and our group, being in a very happy mood and not on his argumentative wave length at all, decided to walk away (as we had already left the bar and were simply outside waiting for our friend to return from the loos), but if we had been in an argumentative mood who knows what might have happened. Thank god we had the good sense to walk away

First and last visit here, dreadful service waited 40 mins for our food drinks never arrived until after our food which was cold and the chicken was pink in the middle. We also had to wait for cutlerly to eat the food got handed a completely damaged fork. Dreadful

Good atmosphere but absolutely far too loud. People were leaving because of the volume of the music

Nice pub, beer was OK, first pint was flat within minutes but the rest were ok

First time visiting in about 5 years, it's had a nice face-lift since then, lots of TV's to watch the footy. I liked it whilst also yearning for a bit of the rustic feel of how it used to be. Will I go again? Yes, to try out the gin selection and food.

Visited this bar sat last it's certainly changed since it was my doctor's surgery back in 75 nice warm established with plenty of seating inside and out with heating exterior as well

Last Saturday someone had used to urinal for a number two. This Saturday had a drink in the brilliant outside area. Walked through the bar with masks on to leave. To have a group of lads shouting covid covid covid as we tried to get past. Will be going to any other the other local bars in future.

Super pub very quaint . Great team and manager . Made us all very welcome . Can’t wait to come back . And made our day when United won 👍

Excellent music on the speakers. Chilled out, went here for a couple of pints whilst reading a book. Not a massive beer selection. Cosy and comfortable place. Not tried the food yet. Next edit: Sunday roast 👍
