Phi bar & grill in Liverpool

After being to Thailand and making my own Thai food... I would not revisit Phi. Far too much MSG and palm sugar in all the food. Left my mouth overly dry and a film in my mouth... Not a good sign!!!

Visited this restaurant as part of a larger group for a meal, overall it was a good experience with a nice atmosphere despite the small size of the place. The food was good - full of flavour and cooked properly. Prices are high considering the portion sizes are average to small and I would expect to pay this much in the city centre but not in a small restaurant in West Derby... Staff was friendly and informative.

Food was lovely. Staff are really nice and very helpful. They recommended dishes (when asked for advice) which were delicious. The restaurant is small but clean and had a nice atmosphere.

Always lovely food here, friendly staff, I get mostly take aways, and never been disappointed.

Looking at the star rating I was hoping for good food, so ordered a takeaway. I’d say the food taste more Chinese than Thai. Also lacks flavour in the dishes.I had chicken pad Thai, cashew king prawn. Which both tasted bland. We also ordered crispy shredded chicken and special fried rice which was better. After having the meal, got my head scratching with such good reviews. May be because it was take away. I’d probably try again visiting the restaurant for meal to see if it’s any better.

Cannot comment on the food. Booked a table for 2 for a Friday night, turned up and where shown to a 'table' at the back. This table was basically the pass from the kitchen and under the bar with a single chair. This certainly wasn't a table more like the area they keep the cutlery that had been tidied up and a chair placed to make a table. What do they want me to do pass the food to the waitress everytime the bell dinged? I questioned it and asked for a different table but was told it was the only one. Why not just tell me there wasn't a table avaliable and we wouldn't have come?Place is tiny and everyone on top of another.

Had my son's 21st birthday meal here , from booking the meal for 20 people on phone the lady who took the order was so helpful . Then the meal was amazing same as the service. Nothing wasn't to much to ask for . We had a great time we will definitely be back. I would recommend Phi Thai excellent restaurant

Absolutely beautiful food. Excellent choice on the menu. Brilliant staff, very friendly and made us feel welcome. We were a party of 7 so varied choices from the menu, but all the courses arrived together and were piping hot. Nobody left waiting. Seriously not just the best Thai food I've had, but simply just some of the best food. Can't wait to go back, really enjoyed it.

It is good at this place and my family was enjoy it, I older with chicken spicywith hot soup, very hot but I like it.
