Portlands Pizza and Fish & Chips in Liverpool

Absolute disgusting excuse for chips. This shop should not be allowed the audacity to call itself a chip shop. These weren't your average one day warm ups they were more like one week warm ups!!! The whole lot was thrown in the bin!! Absolute joke. The seagulls even turned their noses up at them. Vile

I ordered fish chips and mushy peas to take out the fish was burnt to a crisp the mushy peas was cold took it back and got it changed it was still terrible the fish wasn't cod or haddock I don't no wot it was it was very slimy and tasteless first time of going to portlands and it will be the last time I wouldn't of give £2 pound for it never mind £10 disgusting

Great food and one of the best curry sauces I have had so I will not knock the food. I am however disappointed by being charged a different price to the one on the price board. It should have been £13.00 (for 3 of us) but was charged £15.40. It was when finishing the meal I looked at the price board and calculated it. When I raised it he pointed to a small piece of paper on the wall that said in biro, prices on the wall not the same as the till. I would not have a problem if you told me this when making my order, however, this was not pointed out to me. EG a can on the wall £1.00. On the till £1.40. Disappointing to say the least guaranteed to stop me going back in when coming home again.

Bad quality food, paid for it 9,20. No salad, just 3 pieces of chicken. Double price for less food … totally disgusting.

This is the first time that I have bought Chips from Portland been tempted on many occasions while visiting Costa next door .But I have to say they Where the best chips I've had for a very long time nice and crispy not oily and a large portion I'll be visiting again

Don't bother. Chips under cooked. Fish smelt of pizza. Over priced. Worst fish and chips ever. Definitely won't be going back. Hope I'm not sick tomorrow! Large chips were smaller than a small portion! World famous?Thanks for your reply but I didn't speak to you. You have me confused with someone else. My food was ordered and taken home to eat. If I ate in, I would have brought it back for a refund after the first bite.I appreciate you need to make a living, so let me advise; when I order fish and chips, I expect it to taste like fish and chips, not pizza.Such a shame as I would have been a regular customer as I do like the fact you have parking outside the shop. Unfortunately this is the only plus I experienced during my visit.Anyway I wish you well and hope you try to keep the pizza taste away from the fish and chips going forward. The fryer is obviously is being used to fry other stuff, maybe keep it separate.PS I would like to also point out I was not sick the next day, so that was another plus to add to the parking.
