Deserves 5 stars! The chemex is good and the chai latte is made from scratch (not powder).

As an avid coffee lover, I was so hyped up to visit Root Coffee. Unfortunately, this was the worst (as well as the most expensive!) cup of coffee I ever have had in Liverpool. I don't know if it's the oat milk used, or if something went wrong with our drinks, but our lattes tasted so off, and nothing like oat nor coffee! One of us had caramel syrup added to their drink which made the coffee taste of soap. I hate to leave bad reviews, but our visit was an absolute disaster, leaving us so dissapointed as we couldn't evenstomach finishing our cup!

The drinks were slighlty more pricey than other coffee shops in the area, and I'd describe my black coffee as more lukewarm than hot.It seems that a lot of people use this place as a workspace, which we also attempted to do, unfortunately it seems that all charging points here are taped off and unusable, which is a bizarre trait of such a shop.Despite this the place seemed popular.

Independent cafe, large high-ceiling room, lots of tables, not noisy. The coffee is excellent, and thereās some cake choices to be made. Prices in line with other Liverpool cafes. Be careful with opening times - recent 90 minutes earlier closing brought in with no warning I could see the day before.

Located in modern building in a quiet corner surrounded by ex-industrial blocks, this spot is not far from the main shopping mall in town, very easy to reach but still pretty laidback.I ordered a flat white with oat milk. It was one of the best I tasted recently, which was not only well balanced. In the beginning the rounded armour comes out with good flavour from oat milk, then the fruity sourness kicked in afterward, revealing a very well proceeded fruity touch, gentle but firm, I really liked it.This place might not only be for coffee nerds like me, most people actually come here for its food offerings. Next time I will definitely try some freshly made food.

One of the best places in liverpool for a quick breakfast. Extremely good coffee and very accesible prices. Strongly recommend it.

Tucked off the main drag, worth dipping into.to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Bold Street area. Light and airy space, uncramped and unclustered makes it relaxed even when busy. Coffee reasonably priced, cakes looked great. Well worth a look.

Their chai latte alone gets this place 5 stars and their coffee is really good as well. The food and cakes are also good and prices are reasonable. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff

Firstly, the coffee here is delicious. Although I believe that's completely subjective. What makes Root Coffee stand out is beautiful interior design, making staying for hours comfortable and easy, and friendly staff who are happy to give advice. They explained to me what Cascara is (I had no clue!).
