Its absolutely an amazing place to dine, any time of the day. Its always great and has been delicious for me since I was a child! I recommend going there for breakfast especially!

The vegan breakfast is incredible and you get so much on your plate! However, where we were sitting was very loud and crowded but understandable on a weekend and first day of half term. Another positive note was the coffee was delicious and strong! ☕

Nice atmosphere, hardworking staff, and unlimited coffee/tea refills, but you pay £11 for a full English breakfast that doesn't even fill you. Don't bother paying 50p extra for the gourmet Cumberland sausage 'upgrade', it's thin and not filling. This place would be infinitely better if they didn't try to save money by being tight on the meat portions

Went on a rainy late sunday afternoon for a cocktail and burger. Amazing tasty food, generous portion, friendly staff. I think this is one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. Normally I get rudely turn down from restaurants in Liverpool when I am on my own (woman, mid 40s), but they didn't mind and were happy to accommodate a walk-in without reservation. Highly recommended, will visit again.

It'd been a while since my last trip, and glad to know nothing has changed. Busy as it's so popular, but the friendly staff found a table for two right away for a walk in. The food, atmosphere and staff make the place somewhere we look forward to visiting when ever chance permits.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I honestly believe this place has suffered with covid, like all places, I had a lovely breakfast, everything hot and cooked just right. I remember this place back in the day when It was just one shop, credit to Keith, I always come back. I can recommend this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went recently to the Tavern on Smithdown road and just to point out I’ve been going here since 2000! It was just as good as it was 20 years ago!! Consistency is key and the Tavern has proved that for 22 years for me. Fantastic restaurant and we always be my go to for breakfast! 10/10.!

The staff were great, the food as always was amazing and comes straight from the kitchen, hot ready to be scoffed.

Popped into the Tavern for a brunch with friends. I've visited the Tavern previously many years ago. Booked our table in advance as this eatery gets extremely busy. There was a lively convivial atmosphere during our visit. The waiting staff was very attentive and took our order promptly. The waiter also offered us 🍵 and ☕ immediately and topped up our cups regularly during our stay. The only concern I have during my visit is the level of noise particularly the music 🎶 I had to talk loudly to be heard over the drone from the music also our order wasn't taken properly so my friends breakfast order wasn't wasn't taken so she had to wait longer before her food arrived although without asking manager gave us a discount off our bill which was very kind. The meal we both had was of a good standard and reasonable price wise too overall we enjoyed our visit and will definitely return again 👍

First time visiting. Recommended booking in advance as there are queues. Had the Eggs Benny. Was absolutely delightful. Bottomless tea/coffee 👍 I will be going again
