Where is The Brewery Tap?

🏠 39 Stanhope St, Liverpool L8 5RE

"The Stanhope Street dispensary sits proudly as the cornerstone of Robert Cain’s original Mersey Brewery. The great man would be proud to know this old fashioned style pub sits within his very own ‘terracotta palace.’ So come in and raise a glass to the man and his vision."

Recently painted but still slightly dark and brown all over. New clear glass windows replacing some of the etched glass beautiful former windows. A sacrilege for historical architecture, just an aid to show customers seen to be seen. No real ale, so no real pub. Miss this one.

·

good pub, slightly out of the way so a bit more peaceful, beers are excellent with a good array, very clean and the staff are friendly. if the weather is good you can sit outside as well

Hanna the manager was hands on... the event was wonderful all staff including security cleared all table's. Great atmosphere great entertainment. Definitely be visiting soon .

Lovely pub just outside the Baltic market area, it's just a shame that Cain's is no longer here. Spent many evenings in this bar with a Cain's Raisen beer. Staff still friendly

·

Brilliant pub 1st time I been there things old and staff was gr8 I drink spice rum wth just ice

·

Cosy pub that has a great atmosphere wheb theres enough people inside (doesn't take many). There's usually a fair few flies buzzing round, but that's more so to do with the age of the building. I believe the whole propety is undergoing a refurb in the next year or two.The drink prices are a little high for my liking. They don't break the bank, but for a little old-school boozer, I wouldn't say they were good value either. They have 3 TVs with Sky that show regular sports events, which is good. All in all, solidly avarage gaff.

Nice traditional pub. Lots of other eateries and bars around plus a large vintage shopping centre there as well.

·

Nice pub was here in the afternoon cheap prices £3.20 Stella toilet small but clean good atmosphere beer garden mostly full for warm tea time drinks. Children friendly.

·

Great pub part of the Cains brewery. The barman was especially friendly and happy to give samples of the beer on offer. A good relaxed pub to have a few well kept beers and at quite reasonable prices.

I would write more, but was enjoying the local brew on tap a little too much - got tipsy and left early. Beautiful traditional old pub, a hidden gem in the city.
