The Dining Rooms in Liverpool

Very impressive building with some unique heritage if you check out the men's loos. Went for a pint and they had a good selection of draft ales however lacking in variety. Didn't eat but food looked lovely would definitely recommend a visit

Food not exceptional, but there was live music when we were there which was great, and the staff were lovely and the right level of attentiveness.Bar and restaurant are lovely...but when/if you go down to the loos, I can only liken them to service station loos! A bit of money is definitely needing spending on them!We were a walk in and didn't book so expectation wasn't high, but overall we had a lovely evening.

An amazing experience - we'd been on the tour of the cathedral which was awesomeWe popped here for a drink as suggested by our tour guide.Wow what a pub...Toilets are actually listed...the internals of the pub are truly breathtaking...An absolute must if your in Liverpool

Terrible Christmas Dinner. Very annoyed. Service was great but warmed up chopped and shaped meal for £53 each .. Will never come back again

I visited with friends Saturday afternoon, what an excellent experience we had in this Victorian grade one building the rooms are amazing with the leather sofas chandeliers stain glass windows and the most famous toilets in town.. The food was great we had a shared platter and served with a smile. Definitely with another visit, can't wait till the cole fires are roaring to add to the atmosphere. Looking forward to returning over Christmas.

A Grade 2 listed pub. Excellent interior. Drink selection and pricing good. Did not eat. Amazing Gents loo. An essential visit when in Liverpool.

Fantastic, historical, listed pub - like walking back into 1880 British Empire, full of original fixtures and fittings, not least the mens toilet - pics below - with original tiles and fittings.Pub has a great menu too with range of traditional dishes to choose from, plus very good range of beers.

This place wax steeped in history. I loved that it used to be a gentleman's club back in the day & that it still had many many original features. The mosaic floor & bar were beautiful. Stained glass windows & original woodwork. I really enjoyed my visit. We called in after my sons graduation by chance. Again, what a find. I seem to be very lucky at finding interesting or great places.

It was all going so well. My party were enjoying the surrounds and decor and drinks. The staff and customers were all friendly and welcoming.Then we went to view the grade 1 listed men's toilet, but unfortunately, despite staff checking it was empty, there was a man in cubicle, so we all rushed out.I moved across by bar to let rest of ladies out of corridor and a sign that wasn't secured fell on me and causing a head injury. When it moved I tried to stop it falling, but stopped by the middle and the surrounding heavy frame fell on me. Photo of the offending sign is below.I nearly passed out with the shock and it was very painful. In fact it is still painful 4 hours later.The staff rallied round and gave me ice pack and did all the accident reporting procedures. But said there were ties on sign to secure it previously, but they had disappeared.This is an accident that should not have happened in the first place and did spoil my group's afternoon.

Visited this grand old girl many times. Being grade 1 listed no expense spared originally. Therefore no tasteless renovation allowed. If you enjoy old world grandeur and craftsmanship in a genteel setting, this is the place for you.A slight disappointment with the staff who appeared to be at pains to take an order and preferred to want to discuss upcoming shift patterns rather than answer my question about Paul McCartneys impromptu performance 7 years ago.Lots of tourists bedazzled by this unique jewel in Liverpool which was nice to see.
