The Flute in Liverpool

Poor quality food. Bad beer. Really bad and slow service. We were ~18 people in two tables. The place was very big and empty besides us (which means they can in principle afford MANY more people). First, the beer was warm, with a lot of foam (we guess the crate was almost empty). We waited 1-2 hours for the food to arrive and we could not eat together because between one dish and the next one there were always 10 minutes waiting. At one point a waiter came with two chicken burgers but nobody had ordered them. He insisted that we had ordered them so one of my friend decided to take just because he was super hungry. For the second chicken burger, the waiter asked a guy what he had ordered, he replied "cheese burger" and the waiter insisted he did say "chicken" burger. He did not want it but eventually he had to take it. This was very rude from the waiter. Just the physical place is nice. Everything else not good. In general not recommended!

A brilliant pub with even better staff. Great pints along with cheap student deals and nice food. Cracking atmosphere especially when the footy is on. Would definitely recommend.

Great pub. Always a good atmosphere on match days. Good selection of beers and food. I’d recommend checking it out. Lots of history in the place too. Used to be a car dealership in the 1930s. Check out the photos

A great pub with a lively atmosphere - a favourite with students, regulars, and visitors to the city alike. Always a good pint and food is served to a high standard. Credit to the staff who have great customer service - especially Jordan!

Was in this pub yesterday and all I’m going to say is… WOW! What an amazing pub, atmosphere is great! So clean and the staff are amazing , especially Jordan! And also £1 shot on Wednesdays, honestly I had a blast!

Great selection of drinks as well as food options, great facilities and especially warm and friendly service from members of staff. All round a very solid and reliable pub for both students and non-student clientele alike

Such a lovely vibe. Nice staff and good music. The beers are inexpensive and it's a student haunt, with nice people having a great time.

Nice pub in an area with a lot of pricey restaurants. Table service from MyPub app or order at the bar. Nice atmosphere and quick service.Nice chicken burger, very nice onion rings, though it comes with diced gerkins which may be a good thing if you like gerkins.
