Recently (March 2022) myself, family and friends used the John Brodie for a wake after someone in our family sadly passed away (who was a regular at the Brodie).The Brodie was clean and tidy and the staff where really good and helpful and didn’t stop to be honest.Food and arrangements was agreed with one of the managers beforehand and it was really nice and presented very well.I and my family would recommend this place and we thank the staff and management.

Always a lively place. But also they out on a god wake. The food was amazing, cheese sandwiches and chocolate cake were massive potions absolutely delish

Nice atmosphere at the John Brodie and the food didn't disappoint. We only popped in on the way back from a meeting intending to just eat and run, but ended up staying for hours. Lovely friendly staff as well. I'd highly recommend giving this pub a visit if you're in the vicinity.

Lovely service! Came in to see relatives and the staff where incredibly helpful and friendly. Couldn’t fault them. Food was quick and piping hot! I will definitely be returning here! Thank you guys

Main meal gammon, egg & chips were ok, however the of the 6 profiteroles, 4 were frozen & 2 very runny, almost water like cream. Other people in our group experienced the same ok main meals, but questionable desserts.

Great pub. Staff was lovely and service was excellent, Both food and drink where up to a good standard would definitely come again.

We ordered the 3 starters for £9.99, which, at best were mediocre, and a main meal each. The starters came and one minute later the mains came, when we mentioned this, the girl said that's the way they come out, and when we asked could the mains be took back to the kitchen until we were ready we were told, no, there's no room. Not very good customer service.

Went to John brodie last week to watch match and have a bite to eat. Food has really improved since it has been under new management and was a good place to watch the game with lots of screens, reasonably priced beer and good sevice

Lovely meal with family. Mixed grill was delicious and the apple pie great.nice to find somewhere with smiling staff who were lovely. We will definitely be back 😁

Good dinner plenty of chips with burger, not a small portion like there normally was. Hope they keep it up. Great service too
