Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.. what a little gem of a pub, staff were so lovely, couldn't do enough for you! From entering early for the dinner service, we had a seat at the bar and a drink. Then went through to the dining room.Food was outstanding, and very reasonably priced! My dad who is a very fussy and plain eater absolutely loved the steak and ale pie.Only wish I had more time to sample the cocktails (always a next time with the girls) I did try the passionfruit daiquiri 😍

Enjoyed our visit to The Monro. Comfortable, well decorated place in the Knowledge Quarter of Liverpool. Some comfy, armchair type seats to choose from too, not just bar stools.... 🤦🏽♂️ I must be getting old!! 🤣🍺

The service was amazing, the waitress we had was only a week into her job but shown a very friendly and professional service. The atmosphere of the gastropub was nice and cozy with booths and chairs alike. The menu often changes, however there are limited choices available on Sundays. However, when there was I asked if there was a burger, they said they had no however the waitress (Laura I think) came back within 5 minutes and said the chef had looked around and said if I wanted a cheeseburger and chips! (I’m fussy and there was supposed to be only roasts in that day). Anyway, the food was lovely and was very yummy! The presentation was good, with a nice brioche bun and thick but tasty chips! For desert, I had warm chocolate fudge game with vanilla but caramel taste ice cream, with chocolate sauce and a strawberry. Cake was very nice, perfect temperature and possibly one of the best food I’ve had in a long time! Not to mention the cake was big and the people I was with had roasts and the portions were big (Yorkshire puddings huge) just to clarify. Situated in the city centre and parking is widely available as well as strong free WiFi.

Really good roast. Bit slow but staff were wonderful which more than made up for it, and the delicious starters meant we hardly noticed. Yorkshire puddings were massive and perfect- the exact right mix of crispy and soft. And we all agreed the cauliflower cheese was next level! Definitely recommend, you will need to book as they are busy on a Sunday.

Service was terrible. Had to shout to get any help with anything. We were not asked how are food was. We waited about 15 mins even just for our first drink and when we wanted a second we couldnt see any staff where we were sat. Food was nice not great and bit overpriced. Probably won't go back. Was looking forward to one of the "best roasts in Liverpool" but it was a disappointment. The starters we got were lovely.

Amazing food and great service, lovely friendly staff.Had a starter of Bala Beef Salad.. I'd have been happy to have it as a main. AMAZING!!Was planning on having 3 courses, but managed a starter and a main.Hadl the lamb roast and it came with cauliflower cheese and to be honest, not a fan of that, but.. this was stunning.Definitely on my must go to restaurants for food.

THE BEST PLACE IN LIVERPOOL FOR A ROAST DINNER! And I’m sure everything else that they offer on the menu! The whole group, which was nine of us, all agreed it was the best roast we had ever eaten! The decor is lovely, the staff are really on the ball and the food was faultless. Please go and support this place, you won’t be disappointed!

I had my baby shower meal here yesterday, there was 15 of us and the food was perfect for every course. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. Food is very reasonably priced and absolutely gorgeous! Thank you :)

We called in for a nice beer in the lovely courtyard beer garden around midday today. We were the only 3 people sat out, it was such a wonderful place in the sun. We spoke with the 3 staff members who were working, they were all so friendly and attentive. The smells coming from the kitchen were amazing, we will return to sample the food soon.
