The Moon & Pea in Liverpool

Spent a Saturday afternoon playing scrabble and had a lovely dinner. Staff were incredibly accomodating. Fantastic selection of veggie dishes. A perfect example of the good food and trendy atmosphere that can be found on Lark Lane.

The deli is amazing but shame I can't say the same about the café across the road anymore. The waiter/waitress were just rude and a few people have shared these sentiments. Quality of service is what makes a place even if the dining experience is somewhat pleasant.

Most excellent ready-made sandwiches (great selection for everyone from vegans to carnivores), with their coffee, many a fine lunch do make. Don't be fooled by the photo, the deli and the sister full-on restaurant are two separate places roughly opposite one another on either side of the street (lane, whatever).

Love both the restaurant and deli opposite. Unpretentious but modern food in the cafe - well-made fish and chips, homemade pies, breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches etc.Really friendly staff in the deli selling local produce, ice creams, sandwiches and an array of posh deli stuff.

We visited here on Sunday evening.Ok we did not book thinking Sunday evening would not be a busy time.We walked through the door and stood at the entrance for what seemed an age as no one came over to speak to us we walked down and eventually managed to speak to one of the assistants. Asked if there was a table free for 3 of us and told in a very off hand way no and we had to wait.We walked out as there are many equally good restaurants in Lark Lane and will not be back

A very homely place with great staff giving great service. The food is exquisite and it has a good range, make sure you get there early or book in advance. The waitress even changed the sweet to match our tastes. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough it is consistently good.

Amazing, there's the deli and just opposite the café, We did a breakfast on a busy Sunday morning after a walk in Sefton Park. Great busy, bustling atmosphere, a great selection of eggy breakfasts, and a vegan option. Not a bad coffee either and at a very reasonable price. I suspect in the evening it would be impossible to get into without booking, but we'll give it a try sometime.Lark Lane looks like an area worth exploring too.

Fab place, loved the decor and it had a nice feel, it was busy on a Tuesday night so that says a lot! The food was great, the chips are fab, big fat chunky chips. Wasn't keen on the veggie burger tho sorry! I would definitley go back to try something else

Great variety of food, all good quality ingredients and preparation, decent veggie options. Great spot for lunch, especially if it's a late cooked breakfast. Staff are always brilliant. Check out their deli across the road as well.

Moved to the area and visited moon and pea first, lovely in its different way! Great portion sizes, cooked how we wanted, good serving time. Lovely big breakfasts, great on a sunday after walking through Sefton Park. It's a bring your own bottle restaurant and they charge corkage. Fruit juices and soft drinks available though. They also only take cash so remember the free cash machine over the road before going in! They change the interior decor a few times a year, but the menu not as often that's my only niggle. I always go back and have been back with friends!
