We were taking friends round Liverpool and had reserved table for 15 people at 6pm. We had finished our tour at 4,30pm and went into the Old Bank and they set a table for us all upstairs even though we were early. We had our own waitresses serving us. The food was very very good, all of us left clean plates, most had the scouse which was tasty and plenty of meat. The bar service very good also. All in all will defo go back and recommend the food and atmosphere to everybody.

This place is the bomb the food is absolutely marvellous I came here on a school trip and I’m lost for words and don’t even get me started on the music they play 😍😍😍 a very big well done to all of the staff xxxx

Lovely place, however, difficult to hear each other due to the high ceilings reverberating the sound x

Went to The old bank on Monday with my wife I ordered the fish , chips and mushy peas. The batter on the fish was the best I have ever had The fish was a good size and excellent quality. My wife ordered a steak Cooke's through. Not the way I like it but everyone to there own taste. I would say thought that even cooked through it was not dry. I did notice that one reviewer said it was a bit pricey. I don't think that £10 each for the meal was pricey for the quality and portion side we got was expensive. The next time we are in Liverpool we will be heading there

Update - I love to get a response from the owners! This place is perfect to go and watch sports. It would get 5 stars if that was all you were looking for. Loads of big screens, the sound is on and you’ll be able to watch from multiple different areas.Average selection of beer, with a few not available or glasses over the taps. One choice for white and red wine. Not the best but fix that and it would be 5 stars. The service at the bar was ok, but they are so passionate about their recycling that they love to slam their glass bottles into the recycling bucket at the bar….let’s quietly save the planet! 😉Want somewhere to watch the football with a nice cold pint of Carling……this place is perfect! Nice decor and high ceilings the place too.

It turns out that whoever first coined the phrase 'any port in a storm' hasn't been subjected to the service at 'The Old Bank'. I dived into this ostensibly decent looking boozer to get out of the December rain and grab some cheap food - and was instead treated to the most inept and incompetent service I've ever experienced. From not attending the table, forgetting a two-drink order (twice) and failing to understand the general concept of a receipt, it really is incredible just how bad four different people can be at their individual jobs.

·

The worst service I've ever experienced. Three staff working and it took nearly 2 hours to bring a bacon sandwich to the table. When it arrived, it was clearly one that had been sent back by another customer as it was stone cold, had an open sachet of brown sauce on the plate and had a bite taken out of it. The staff were as disinterested as I've ever seen. Honestly, the service, food and experience is better in the Wetherspoons across the road. Avoid!

A nice little break away from the hustle and bustle.Mr and my partner came here for some late night food and a couple of drinks tonight and was pleasantly surprised. For a reasonable price I had a Liverpool specialty famous Scouse which was rather tasty. My partner had the fish and chips which was also really nice portion wise for the price. It did seem very quiet and the only real downside was no normal pepsi only sugar free but otherwise it was quite a lovely building, would benefit from live music like other pubs on the same night. With a quick visit for lunch for sure. £10 for a main course is very reasonable.

Really beautiful building which was the old bank, good was very nice and reasonably priced, however it was very very loud in there. The live music was nice but it was very distracting.
