Where is The Pen Factory?

🏠 13 Hope St, Liverpool L1 9BQ

"Tucked away below the hustle and bustle of Hope Street, The Pen Factory is the reincarnation of the original Everyman Bistro. Culinary entrepreneur Paddy Byrne has recreated the same relaxed atmosphere in this new home just next door, and customers can expect the same friendly welcome and quality food and drink. With a wide selection of spirits, wines and beers on the menu and small plates perfect for sharing customers can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat in the buzz of our subterranean home or in the quiet oasis of our garden."

·

Lovely food and beer, brilliant service. Already one of my favourite places to eat.

Great atmosphere, reminiscent of the original Everyman Bistro, I ate a mixed salad and drank a pint of pilsner. I didn't get the salad mix I ordered and salad was a little over seasoned for my taste (I didn't mention anything to the serving staff). I enjoyed the experience overall and will certainly visit again.

Food and ambience were great, service could have been better. 3 waitresses working, not particularly busy, but they studiously avoided catching one's eye

·

Great kitchen/bar with good selection of cask and a few craft beers. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. I had a delicious fish pie for less than £8

·

Good selection of beers and interesting food on the menu. Staff efficient and friendly. Will make a return visit

·

Lovely atmosphere, decor and great food - although primarily listed on blackboard at one end (which means you have to get up as cant view from tables) to see all menu. I have been twice and each time they had run out of ingredients for one dish i wanted and waiting staff not very attentive ( had to go to bar to pay as no one noticed, had to remind staff for forgotton item) but would still recommend as food really good and I like the feel of the venue. Its really close to Catholic cathedral & university so great choice for visitors/ visiting parents.

Very popular place so gets busy at the weekend. We had no problems getting a table for drinks and the atmosphere was buzzing. The selection of draft and bottled beers was great too, so I'll be trying a few of those on my next visit.

·

Lovely place and staff! Unfortunately they didn’t have any plum Porter left but they had a wide selection available

·

Very good with access and knowledgeable friendly staff in a pleasant environment. Seems a place to meet friends and relax as a comfortable place to be.

·

Lovely meal, tasty and healthy. Absolutely reccomended for a work or family meeting
