Such a nice pub.Lots of great beers on offer and the staff are so nice.It's famous for the toilets, but it's such a beautiful building and a great way to spend some time with a good quality beer.We didn't have food, but the plates of food going past us looked and smelled lovely.

Stunning beautiful old bar, great to relax and enjoy a pint in. We were in a group of 7 and got a seat in nice area, although the entire place is a nice area! The bar has lots of character and charm, with some little rooms to sit it or stand by the bar. Wide selection of ales and beers on tap too.Good selection of pub style food available and at a reasonable price.There are not many places left like this. A truly unique venue. Make sure to visit!

A very interesting pub to visit, as very elegant inside and it boasts very posh toilets for the men! It's on the sightseeing bus tour, so a good stop off. We had drinks and a club sandwich which were reasonably priced and tasty.

This is such a beautiful building to dine in. Lots of space, and some small cosy nooks too.There was a great variety of food and drink which was served in a very timely manner. We will definitely be visiting again.We did go in the afternoon so it was fairly quiet. I imagine it is a vibrant place to attend before a show at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

Very impressive building with some unique heritage if you check out the men's loos. Went for a pint and they had a good selection of draft ales however lacking in variety. Didn't eat but food looked lovely would definitely recommend a visit

An amazing experience - we'd been on the tour of the cathedral which was awesomeWe popped here for a drink as suggested by our tour guide.Wow what a pub...Toilets are actually listed...the internals of the pub are truly breathtaking...An absolute must if your in Liverpool

I visited with friends Saturday afternoon, what an excellent experience we had in this Victorian grade one building the rooms are amazing with the leather sofas chandeliers stain glass windows and the most famous toilets in town.. The food was great we had a shared platter and served with a smile. Definitely with another visit, can't wait till the cole fires are roaring to add to the atmosphere. Looking forward to returning over Christmas.

A Grade 2 listed pub. Excellent interior. Drink selection and pricing good. Did not eat. Amazing Gents loo. An essential visit when in Liverpool.

Fantastic, historical, listed pub - like walking back into 1880 British Empire, full of original fixtures and fittings, not least the mens toilet - pics below - with original tiles and fittings.Pub has a great menu too with range of traditional dishes to choose from, plus very good range of beers.

This place wax steeped in history. I loved that it used to be a gentleman's club back in the day & that it still had many many original features. The mosaic floor & bar were beautiful. Stained glass windows & original woodwork. I really enjoyed my visit. We called in after my sons graduation by chance. Again, what a find. I seem to be very lucky at finding interesting or great places.
