Lovely pub, quite large but with separate parts. There were 10 of us & still plenty of room sat at 2 tables together. Good range of drinks, and in the summer there's a small outside part with tables and chairs. Sometimes there's also a BBQ there in the warmer weather. Recommended.

Lovely pub, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Good pints at fair prices and food smells fab, not tried it yet. Dog friendly, plenty of room and nice decor. Good music at a sensible volume and busy enough for solo travellers to chat. Ticks all the boxes really 👍

Haven't been for ages , My Husband and I took my Mum for an early Birthday Lunch she will be 92 on the 28th , we always took my Dad ( who we lost 22nd May 2020 ) and Her here for Sunday Lunch, my Dad always enjoyed going for a walk and then The Railway for Lunch .We really enjoyed our Dinner today 16.01.22, food lovely, good sized portions.Started going The Railway when it only cost £6.95 😀 and that was for still 3 courses , it's £12.95 now but still really good value 😀 staff lovely, service was very good, nothing too much trouble 👍

Very good Victorian city centre local. Stopped for a cask pint and had Wainwright's. Very well kept lively pint served in choice of straight or jug glass. Lots of seating in comfortable leather arm chairs, couches and benches. Good stop.
