Busy when we arrived but seated immediately. Ordered and told the person we where due at the Phil in an hour and a half. Waited 40 mins for starters but once it was pointed out the service was so fast it was unbelievable, even took starters and drinks off the bill without being asked. It was my birthday meal but the problems where fixed immediately and the evening was great, will go back. Thanks

Nice staff, lovely food, nice place, quite large inside, will revisit, seating area outside.

Good location, ok food, service not parity to similar places. Not a place where I would think to go back if there are other choices available to consider.

I ordered a chicken supreme. I received one out of the seven ingredients. A completely different meal was served. The way the complaint was handed was horrendous. Obnoxious and a terrible attitude implied I’m at fault. Refused to discount or remove meal from the bill.I’d avoid. May have been a poorly trained staff member however I’d avoid.

Food was lovely, but the staff/management seemed a little overwhelmed. We booked a table for 10 for mother's day, when we arrived they were convinced we had booked a table for 6. They were quick enough to accommodate us, but then the children's meals were accidentally deleted from the bill. We all got our meals but nothing for the kids. Once again the staff were great, they comped the kids meals and we were offered free drinks as an apology. Food was lovely, ambience was nice. Have been before so it was a pity there was no live music this time around like there was during my previous visit. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive.

Food and drink is excellent and the staff are also very friendly and can't do enough for you. That's how it should be and you can go to some of the more popular and more expensive places in town and get nothing of the sort. I have been here 4 or 5 times now and it is always amazing. Highly recommend both the steak and the haddock. For starters the BBQ chicken. Wings are also great 👌

Went to celebrate my daughter's graduation. I bought one bottle of prosecco and got one free which was kind. Unfortunately the service was very slow and the deserts were so slow they said they wouldn't charge us but when I added the bill up they did charge us. The food was great although the men said the portions were small. The atmosphere was nice and it didn't appear too busy. Shame about the slow service.

Was in for my daughters graduation. From northern Ireland. Would not rate the food 2 people in my party ordered steak well done but came out burnt n tough . Kids meals were last to the table. One child's meal was the sausages but was pink in the middle.pasta n sauce is not pasta n tinned tomatoes which was not eaten. The only good experience was the waitress and the bar staff. If I return to Liverpool would definitely not return for food .

My wife and I ate at The Refinery before a concert at the Philharmonic Hall. The staff were very friendly and attentive (thank you Charlotte). The food was hot and served quickly. Very tasty arancini and lovely fish and chips. Reasonably priced and excellent value. Will definitely go there again.

Completely fails in the kitchen. Chips are just uncooked hot potatoes, mentioned this to waiter who said next time we can make them more crispy...Burger was pretty tasteless too. For £13 I was expecting something a bit special. Will not be returning.
