TJ Hughes in Liverpool

One of those stores were you never know what you will find.Great range of discounted goods, I love to spend time having a good look around - always pick up a bargain !

Great value for money, lots of bargains from clothes to vacuum cleaners.

You can tell the staff don't want to be there so I don't know why they don't find new jobs. I know it's not easy but the attitude to customers makes it very clear, so look for a new job; you've got retail experience and I'm sure you can lie on your CV about your customer service skills. One of them is so lazy he just says "no" to any question about what they sell, rather than be honest. As for the claim that they don't have to go by their returns policy, that's totally wrong, so they're breaking contract, as that printed policy is a contract with the consumer. Expensive items too; only rich people think it's cheap but that's just because of the dangerous floors making it look cheap and tacky. Students use it because it's close but they're better off going to Wilko or B&M for bedding.

Got some great pants they have really good range of clothes especially for older people, including Roman.

What's not to like about this shop? Can never understand why anyone would choose to be knowingly ripped off in other establishments rather than take the time to check this shop out. Everything from kitchen to bathroom to bedroom is here plus an excellent clothing range and aftershave selection. Wouldn't buy a coat from anywhere else! Plus the canteen does an excellent roast dinner....

I think the store will close down soon very little of everything to be honest! Part of the first floor has closed down and there seems to be just bits that are left from last year! Didn't buy anything, very disappointing! Very sad too, used to be a good shop to buy gifts etc looks like those days are well gone 😫

TJ Hughes has been a great institution to Liverpool and the London road area for many years but unfortunately the store is now looking very run down and is in need of refurbishment. The floor is worn in many places and is taped down and the carpet areas need a good vacuum. The product displays are looking tired and are in need of being updated.

Not as much stock as previous visits. Bit dark and dindgy. Stock badly organised & scruffily displayed. Very chaotic. Difficult to find what I wanted. Also found staff unhelpful and rude at checkout. Not impressed!!!!

It was fantastic with so many winter collection and home appliances, furniture's like dining table etc., So many other decorative stuffs. There was some special sale going on with half price and above for certain items. Only problem is the parking. The road side parking is costly every half an our @1.20 pounds. No provision for card payment. Only coins or Phone pay are accepted.

Great department store, plenty of offers , excellent for menswear.A real value for money restaurant !
