Toby Carvery - Speke Boulevard in Liverpool

Toby Carvery Speke is a lot more friendly than Toby Carvery Stoneycroft where the male Manager is so rude. Decided to put his own rules in place that anything over 6 customers he won't give them a table on a Sunday. Been going to this one for years sometimes upto 12 people. Speke have common sense and put 2 tables together and look after their customers. Definitely visit this one again.

Disappointing. Went for breakfast but no cereal or even preserves for toast as advertised on their menu. No eggs ready so food wasn't hot by time they came out.Table areas and floors still dirty from previous day.Staff seemed pretty miserable and unwelcoming.

Although the food was well cooked it went cold far too quickly! We had no sooner put our plates on our table, sat down and had a taste and it was cold! Very disappointing!! The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, a waitress took our plates to warm our food for us. The staff were friendly and helpful, polite and professional at all times. It was a shame about the food, I would have given 5 stars if the food had been hot!,

We were at Toby’s on a busy Friday evening, seated very quickly after the young lady moved the tables to accommodate us.We were served by Gary at the carvery and he was a genuinely nice guy, who chatted to all of us, was very attentive, listening as well as chatting.The young lady who served us was also very accommodating and considerate. We felt valued as customers.If back in Liverpool we would definitely go back with out hesitation.Quality of food was of a high standard, which accompanied by the high quality of service meant we loved it.

Had a fantastic meal here on 4 March 2022. The waitress was first class (didn’t get her name unfortunately) and Gary the chef was an absolute gent. The food was delicious and an excellent atmosphere ensured a very enjoyable evening.

Visited here for a drink and snack. The staff were friendly enough. My sandwich was very tasty but my husbands food was a total disaster. He ordered the foot long pig dog. The French bread was dry not even buttered, the pig dog itself was truly overcooked you couldn't bite into it. Was only offered a staff discount of 30% off our bill.

The staff really are friendly, we had staff Xmas meal there last night (11th/12/21) Chef was in good spirit & our 2 servers Aiyesha & Emily looked after us throughout

We were in Speke on a horrible wet evening , and the only nice part of the trip was popping in here as only place we could see open and appealing in anyway. Not somewhere I would previously choose, But we were met by a colleague at the door who was very polite and helpful which perked us up.. the colleague who took our order was lovely and could not be more helpful with any advice.. the colleague again dishing out the meat at the carvery counter again was really welcoming and polite… I noticed the place was very busy all the time we were there… I can fully understand why.. excellent. Highly recommend

Typical Toby Carvery, staff were excellent, friendly and efficient, the roast beef however was massively overcooked and very dry. My wife reported the Gammon to be good but Turkey once again dry. I'm not blaming the chef I'm sure that several hours under a heat lamp will ruin the best most perfectly cooked joint of meat. Veg was all nice and fresh. I will stress again, staff were excellent both waiting on and carvery chef. Would still return due to value for money and excellent customer service

Lucy was a amazing! She was so helpful with me and my four children even when they had a tantrum when the carrots were not bright orange. See photo below of my sad child. We love you Lucy!
