Cord Bar in Manchester

A good selection of drinks but the music was a little bit too loud when i went with my girlfriend. Probably good for a couple of drinks with the lads but not for a couple of drinks with your significant other...

Lovely barstaff, very friendly bouncers, good drink selection, maybe a bit pricey but it is in the northern quarter.

The bar on the ground floor was nice. Basement has a lot of potential that is not utilized. Just feels like empty space with minimal lighting.

Absolutely LOVE this hidden gem...I have been there several time...In groups of friends, and couples, its such a great place to be.I also attended a Cocktail master class, Reece was excellent... He really kept everyone involved and the cocktails were amazing!I would highly recommend it !

This place has gone right down the pan. What a complete toilet. Crappy seats and horrible log tables. No lock on the toilet door. Asked the barmaid if there was anyone sat in a seat with coat on the chair, she just started yawning in my face and said "I dunno". Have some respect or at least some basic customer service skills. Dump

Happy hour in Cord is almost certainly my happiest hour of the day. Their Bad Apple cocktail is delicious and tastes just like apple crumble! Affordable but tasty cocktails with friendly approachable staff and a great atmosphere. Can get a little busy at the weekends so be prepared. Week nights are nice and comfortable. Very chic ladies rooms for a busy cocktail bar too!

One of the older Northern Quarter bars but the recent refurbishment from the group that owns Simple and Wood has given it a new lease of life. Very friendly bar staff who are more than willing to mix up a custom cocktail for you.

Off the beaten track, away from the usual Northern Quarter revellers, hidden in a corner, lies this unassuming bar. It's a great destination to unwind and catch up with friends. Whether you're grooving to the ol' skool, soul and funk remix scratched together by live DJs, or indulging in a Cord special cocktail, you'll find yourself lost in the chilled out atmosphere and soon your life worries will be but a distant blur. I had the Dirty Boulevard (strong!!) and a friend had the Bad Apple (it really does taste like apple crumble!) cocktail and if given an earlier start (it was a Friday), I'd love to make my way down the cocktail list! For me, it was a good way to end a stressful work week and a nice opener for the weekend.

One of the few original NQ bars, Cord still has a great vibe and hasn't been too overrun with scallies on a Saturday night.Good beers, good vibes.

I am not entirely sure if this is a good thing but by the end of the night the pub was practically drank dry. All the tap lagers gone, Guinness gone, cider was even gone on my arrival ...it was 9pm. Great music though.
