Costa Coffee in Manchester

Saturday 19 March 22 called in for a well deserved drink with daughter. Big que , short staff , one girl was sorting all the food out as a lot of the sandwiches were out of date. Asked for a medium hot chocolate which was served in a take away cup when said we were eating in. tiny flys hovering around cakes and at seating area, peach tea had no ice and was so weak tasted horrible, lacking customer care and as for the toilets they weee disgusting ! Smelly , dirty unclean!Overall not good and an expensive experience ,not good and won’t be returning

A very large and popular Costa,in a busy shopping district. The line to served can be a bit long. But the staff are quite quick and efficient, and are friendly.

There we're 4 members of staff just having a conversation (it was not busy) and it took them about 2 minutes until they acknowledged my and my partner's presence. We ordered our stuff and they asked if we wanted cream and marshmallows on the hot chocolate, we specifically said no. They still charged us for the cream and marshmallows, my partner is vegetarian so they don't eat marshmallows plus it's £1 extra. Very unnecessary, could've easily been avoided

When I ask for syrup do not assume it’s ok to give me sugar free. If someone takes sugar in their coffee, you wouldn’t give them Saccharine without asking. I’m really sick of Costa staff doing this. Please train your staff properly. And the number of times I’ve asked for a take out cup to receive a cup is too many to mention

It's a Costa, good selection, not too expensive but not the cheapest, toilets were clean, plenty of tables and the ones against the wall even have USB outlets for your phone charger. Staff are always excellent but very busy.

absolutely appalled by the behaviour of the security guard in this costa store. have always been a costa fan ever since and it’s always my go to. went to this store in market street and wanted to eat my own lunch first and grab a coffee with a friend after as the queue was very long so we thought of waiting till it died down. security guard came up in a very patronising way, tried explaining what is “business” and told us to leave rudely even after we explained we were going to get coffee as well. there is no concern for their customers! was able to always count on costa to brighten my rainy days like today but it was rubbish. everyone brings their own food in, people bring fast food from other places to eat with their friends in the cafe and we had sandwich and pasta, which was an issue of all things? felt a little offended as i felt this was aimed at us being of a different race and having a different faith? this interaction has put me off costa drinks and i will now go to starbucks down the road for coffee or will walk that extra mile for it in other places because i don’t want costa drinks anymore. absolutely disappointed by this ridiculous behaviour. i would give 0 stars if i could.

The store was clean and tidy but I was disappointed with the service on this visit.As I came up to be served, the young lad asked me and as I gave my order, the one of the other staff said an order was ready. The lad at the till said I'll take it over however he was in the middle of serving me. He walked off with the tray and returned. I had to repeat my order. Then he automatically assumed I was paying card before asking.After waiting for a the order to be made I watched him serve other customers. He was learning on the counter and the next customer had to repeat their order also.Overall an OK experience

Clean counter area, friendly cashier, decent coffee. Toilets were clean. Not the quickest service but at least the queue keeps moving. Good location next to the Market Street tram stop.

Needed a pit stop.. friendly, hardworking staff and clean toilets. We enjoyed the cake and vanilla chaai that had vitamins in it as well.. Waheey! Anyways we loved it. ❤️😍

I visited Market Street Manchester branch lunchtime on a Friday afternoon. On the plus side, the staff were very pleasant, on the negative side, just 2 staff were taking orders and making the drinks and food purchased, 1 other staff member collected used cups and plates !!! No wonder people walked away, and those that stayed the que to be served was out of the door at times !!Nice staff but poor management in my opinion
