El Capo in Manchester

I’ve recently been to El Capo twice for their “Tacos for Days” offer! This is their usual Tuesday and Wednesday night menu but they’ve extended it through the week for Jan and Feb. Tacos start at just £1 for fillings like chicken and go up to £2.50 for steak. They have halloumi, cauliflower and fish fillings for those who are on a more vegetarian or pescatarian diet. The choices are great and super flavoursome with the pork tacos being my favourite followed by the Corona fried fish! Delicious. They also do a bloody good margarita and their drinks offerings are amazing. The service is quite casual, as expect from the Northern Quarter and the tacos come out as soon as they’re ready pretty much. Overall a great dining experience and vibe for a mid week treat. Out last visit the bill came to £38 and we had 2 soft drinks and 8 tacos each between two of us…so very reasonable! The quality of these tacos are unreal…worth a visit!

Went for dinner with my friend tonight.. cool decor nice place. But please get rid of this young vibe atmosphere with awful loud hip hop music that doesn't go with the theme of the restaurant at all! Myself and my friend didn't book but as it was a Tuesday night thought we'd get a nice quiet seat but instead we were instructed to sit in a really uncomfortable high seat and a Rocky table near the bar and d j beside a loud speaker!The burrito I ordered was dry and tasteless and the staff were rude. Two waitresses tried to make out i Ordered a starter that I didn't as they thought I'd made marker bully if on the Menu.Second waitress with long straight fair hair abd a check short made a point of coming over again. To try to make out I had made a no 1 on the menu when I kept telling no I didn't. As why would I lie if I had the option was only £1!Staff should not argue with the customer but she also liked giving me evil stares after only because I didn't liner her attitude! I won't be going again. To this place. The place itself is lovely but darn Shane about the rude staff ! 👎🏾 👎🏾🙄🙄😶

I booked a table for nine people for my girlfriend's birthday and we had an amazing time. Great cocktails, good music, top venue and above all the staff were super friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Absolutely amazing place for food.Staff are amazing Chloe always makes our visit and experience with the best service every time.Menu is spot on with such nice food and choices.Taco Tuesday is a must definitely worth the money and good value every time.

Atmosphere inside is quite intimate and sophisticate. We made a very last minute booking on a Friday night via Facebook messenger and they were very welcoming. Tacos were delicious and the martini was on point. Lovely Mexican music not too loud but creates a nice vibe. Service was excellent and friendly. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and cocktails.The wait time was quite long and not all of our food came out at the same time so some people had finished eating before others had started. Hence 4 stars instead of 5.There was some confusion over portion sizes with the main meal (further down) however, I know now what to order for next time and it did not take away from how delicious everything was everything was beautiful seasoned, the meat was tender and the different sauces were full of really tasty flavours.We were a bit confused over the portion sizes because some of us ordered the tacos as our main (where each of the 3 tacos were gone in 2 bites) and felt unsatisfied and others ordered the burritos which were massive and only just managed to finish them. They were both a main meal but just didn't seem the like the same quantity. So I would recommend with sharing tacos and burrito between 2 people or getting a couple of sides with the tacos.

Something completely different and quirky! The food was unbelievable, between 2 of us we shared prawns, tacos and a burrito and it was more than enough! The drinks were delicious, service was great and the staff were amazing!

The food was amazing and service was quick. Wide range of veggie and vegan options and the tequila was good quality. Peach and jalapeño cauli wings are such a good idea!

Amazing tacos, cocktails are lovely, especially the margaritas! Really friendly staff and the service is great! Absolutely one of my favourite places in Manchester for food especially during Taco Tuesday!

Tacos and frozen margaritas, absolutely perfect. Dining area was a tad loud but that's people having a good time!
