Great food as always. Leaving this review purely for the service we received today. The person serving us noticed we were sharing a portion of fish chips but heard me saying I was just having chips in a barm and so put them in separate containers in case I didn’t eat fish (I don’t!) so really appreciated the extra thought :)

I was a bit disappointed. The chips were not very hot and the fish seemed overcooked. Service was good and the place was spotless.

The worst chips I have ever had. Must have been reheated many times. See picture. Won't be there again.

Fish was really good. I didn't fancy the chips. But that is more because I'm used to different style of chips. Friendly owner.

First time in Manchester. Was wandering around and found The Fish Hut. Great fish and chips. Quick takeaway with two floors of quaint indoor dining. Huge portion!

Visited here with my other half en route to Castlefield Bowl.A lady in front of me was enquiring if they served meat gravy, the gentlemen serving said it was veggie gravy, this pleased me greatly as I’m veggie. We ate in the upstairs restaurant. My partner had fish, chips and mushy peas, all of which was spot on and at a reasonable price. There was a unisex toilet that was very clean.

After going to the Museum of Science and Industry on a visit to Manchester we really fancied some "proper chips".A nice lady at the museum told us that there's a chippy nearby.Wow what a find! This chip shop is very much like one you'd find on a sea front.Plenty of seating inside on two levels and very clean with charming black and white pics from days gone by adorning the walls. It felt like a nice family atmosphere.I did ask for my peas and curry sauce to be put on top of my chips- you can get them in separate pots by the way.The staff were very friendly and professional. My ten year old said that these were the best chips he'd had in his life, I think they're a close level-pegging with something you'd get at somewhere like Scarborough. We'll definitely go here again next time we're in Manchester.RECOMMENDED :)

Great tasting food and at a very reasonable price. Would give 5 stars if had more vegetarian/vegan options
