Glamorous Chinese in Manchester

I have eaten many times before in this restaurant but it's become gradually worse. It is legendary to say that if a Chinese restaurant is full of Chinese people eating, then the food will be good. Perhaps so, but I wonder if that's just reserved for them? After our starters we waited just over an hour for the main dish, which was bland. The rice arrived 10 minutes before the main, meaning that it had gone cold when its accompanist arrived. I asked for salt to sprinkle onto the food - something I've never done in 50 years of eating out - and the salt cellar was empty. The prawn crackers and seaweed were taken away before we'd finished them and I was not given or offered chopsticks, presumably because I am not Chinese. I have a strong feeling that English people are just not welcome. I felt like a black person might feel in 1950s New Orleans. The receptionist had a dreadful attitude problem, as did the waitresses. The food was overpriced. The best thing about the restaurant is the free and easy parking which is great in the middle of Manchester. Left feeling very disappointed, never to return.

A truly authentic Chinese eating experience. Noisy, chaotic, and delicious. If you want to eat where the local Chinese community eat, this is the place. Order the three roast meats on crispy noodles....amazing! Great dim sum too. Please go in with an open mind because Chinese customer service is different to what you might be used to.

Got the lunch time special. Hot and sour soup to begin. Salt and pepper ribs, prawn toast and seaweed for starters. Beef and green peppers in black bean sauce and chicken satay with fried rice for mains. Very good value for money. Mains portions far bigger than we expected and really good quality. But only one rib each for starter which seemed a bit skimpy. 2 meals with 2 pints of San Miguel and, of course, free parking, less than £40 so no complaints here. Would definitely return. But please get some higher chairs. They are very low and a struggle for someone of my advancing years.

The service seems to have improved... The food remained really nice:) massive portions! I went with a friend and we both took food home, hardly touched the main course plus the vegetables... We also had a soup each & a sharing starter.

Absolutely delicious yum cha! Booked a table here based on a recommendation that it served some of the best yum cha in Manchester.Ordering via menu was a little different from what I'm used to, but I suspect this was due to COVID-safe measures to reduce staff having to come into contact with every customer, but also meant that food wastage is kept to a minimum.We were very impressed with the selection, texture and taste of all the dishes we ordered; portions were generous and we left absolutely stuffed (a good thing).

Ordered the same thing twice within a week because it’s simply too delicious. My favourite is definitely the roast pork belly and roast duck.

Always great fresh food been here lots of times over the years, service a bit up and down but can highly recommend this place, has free multi-storey parking too.

Large popular Chinese restaurant with an extensive menu. Most of the dishes tasted really good.The only complaint I have, is that some of our dishes were not brought at the same time. So one of us was eating soup and the other one was waiting.Even so, I'd recommend it.

Been here many times clean and delicious foods, a suitable place for big family dinner. Everything is fresh and hot not a single mistake all the foods is amazing! The decoration inside is quite fancy the big chandelier in the middle is so pretty and inside is quite spacious and of course there's toilet which are quite clean. The restaurant have plenty of parking space with a roof on top so no worry if it rain or too sunny. Overall this place is amazing the foods, the accessibility and amazing price!

Picked the vegetarian banquet. Good value for money and tasty variety of food. Enjoyed the experience and vibe - decor makes you feel you are in China. No queue at the time we went (6pm on a weekday).
