Intimate venue at the heart of Manchesters music scene for over two decades now. Friendly staff, nice decor, bar prices arent too expensive, easily accessible from the centre of Manchester.It's quite a long narrow venue, so get there early if you want the best view. Also it can get warm in there so make sure your clothing will allow for that!

Quirky little independent café/bar/venue in the (now trendy) Northern Quarter, but has been knocking around for over 30 years now. A nice option for any of the aforementioned situations and a great place to see some smaller acts

Love the fact that everytime I go in, I can get a decent coffee even if its later on at night.Sat at the bar with some friends. Great service from Ellie and erm callum? I think that was his name. Anyway, great venue, great drinks options, and friendly staff x

Nice place to pop into for an afternoon pint or cup of coffee. Interesting selection of music which, although is quite loud still fits in nicely in the background and allows you to have a conversation.

Awesome independent venue, great food (esp. the brunch menu), great house lager, has a warm welcoming vibe which a lot of other venues with a more industrial feel are lacking - whenever I get brain fog about where to go for a drink, this place is my go-to. Manchester would be lost without it! Such a rich musical history and a place filled with special memories for Mancunians.

This place was wicked when we popped in for some drinks. Very cool interior, nice crowd and reasonably priced (two single gin and tonics and a pint for £15ish). Jazz soundtrack was great.

Very poor sevice I ordered a drink which came in a dirty glass the tables and chairs outside are dirty inside the cafe area looks rundown and could do with a clean and fresh up with a lick of paint
