Mancoco in Manchester

Excellent cafe and roastery. They've a few spaces inside to sit, but I've generally been for takeaway or to buy beans for use at home. They do some excellent espresso and filter coffees. Check out their website, but some nice dark Brazilian beans through to fruity Ethiopians/Kenyans. Friendly staff too.

Fabulous. To sit there early morning, watching the world go by as you’re sipping a beautifully prepared full flavour coffee, is a moment of great joy.Not visited for far too long now due to the restrictions. Enjoying their espresso blend in my machine at home.Be back very soon.

You haven’t tried coffee until you’ve had freshly roasted and ground coffee like this. I searched for a local Roasters. Came for a coffee and cake which was delicious took two bags of house espresso blend for the espresso machine and the Columbian single origin for a French press (roasted and ground for me today). I was blown away with the depth of flavours and lingering notes of caramel. I’ve never been this enthusiastic about coffee probably because I’ve never had it this fresh. Next level coffee shizzle going on under the arches in Manchester.

Independent coffee roasters with a coffee shop located under a railway arch near the canal, Castlefield.The place is very small but bright. It offers three tables for four persons and a bar table for three. The interior is done in an industrial style, which compliments the location and the city's heritage. Left side of ManCoCo is a designated roastery space, while the right side is made as a coffee shop.Some reviews are saying that it is a great place to work, but I did not see it that way. The working space would be pretty small, because it is located under a railway arch there is a loud noise of passing trains every couple of minutes, plus the coffee roasting equipment is creating a constant hum. The place does not have air conditioning, so it gets very hot on a warm day. Another drawback of the coffee shop is that to get to the counter you have to climb a couple of stairs, which makes does make it accessible by a wheelchair.The barista was very friendly, prepared my order of a flat white with a short bread very quickly. He also provided me with the list of their coffee beans to takeaway after I had asked for one. I ordered two different blends and they were ready five minutes later.The flat white I ordered was very good. It might be a rare place that actually makes it from two espresso shots. Ideal for mornings or a midday boost. They also offer a large variety of other coffee based drinks.The salted caramel shortbread was also great. However, overall, the selection of bakes and cakes is limited.For the quality of the coffee, the prices are surprising as they are slightly cheaper than the Manchester average.Aside from coffee beans, ManCoCo is also selling a large selection of coffee brewing equipment.Overall, I would say that ManCoCo is great place to get you freshly roasted beans or a takeaway coffee in Manchester. However, I do not think it is a great place for sitting in, especially for work or reading.

My new go-to for coffee and general relax spot in Manchester. Great location near the Deansgate Transpennie. I had a small latte followed by a mocha to-go and they were both excellent. Don’t leave without trying the carrot cake too.The staff was very friendly and proficient at their trade. Prices were fair (I would say even on the low side - definitely less than Starbucks). They have a good selection of in-house roast as well from blends to single origin. Looking forward to coming back.

Great fresh coffee. Roasted on site. Multiple beans offered, including single origin. Nice place for stay in or coffee to go. It has seats to stay in, but somewhat small inside (15-20 people max?). Still, it's cosy under the bridge, you can hear the train passing by above. Friendly staff. Various extraction methods are offered and selection of fresh beans, roasted on site. In my opinion, the main attraction is coffee, but the shop also offers savoury snacks and cakes. Somewhat difficult to find, please check the map and pictures attached. 2 min walk from Deansgate tram stop.

Lovely coffeeshop under the train line that also sells their own blends of coffee beans. Excellent coffee, delicious pastries and very friendly staff. A great place in Manchester. One can buy Mancoco coffee at Eighth Day on Oxford Road. (you can feel the train above you which I find quite entertaining)
