Funky pub with live music and a great bar. Went in here not expecting much but ended up having a cracking night dancing away until the end. some drunkenness some silliness and a fab brass jazz modern band??? Wonderful way to end the night thank youPrice wise it was £7 on the door for standing (not sure for seated as there were none left). If you do sit make sure it is near the stage or it wont be much use.Drinks a round of 4 double gin/bullet and 4 shots came to 30ish quid so really reasonable as well

The coolest little jazz club! My first time at matt and Phreds was on Thursday night.The venue itself is so welcoming with a great atmosphere.The staff went above and beyond to make our night great.The music was really good tooDefinitely be going back when in Manchester

Nice place the owner is very polite respect her customer's and her bar staff members who is amazing just like the door staff everyone them do a fantastic job. It's also nice place for food and drinks nice music and it's a place to visit for drinks n food wonderful.

Such a fun night out! Great music. Can't beat free pizza with drinks. I reccomend booking a table to get a good seat.

Amazing jazz bar in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Excellent selections of beers, wines and spirits. Live music every night, with some nights offering free entry. Cocktail also available at certain times.

I lived in Manchester for four years and Matt and Phred's was always my go-to for a night out.The music is always entertaining, the atmosphere is chilled and jovial, and the staff are all lovely.They also make a cracking pizza and not a bad cocktail either. I recommend trying their Penicillish.

Absolutely packed on a Thursday night. Brilliant band, Ashley's Midnite Blues. Staff were super lovely even though they were rushed off their feet. Amazing atmosphere

Place selected by my sons to celebrate my 65th birthday, early September , 2021.Great live music, very, very friendly people attending the show.The band even played HB song for me, asking to go to the center stage. Spectacular!!Great vibe!!!
