Mei Dim Resturant in Manchester

We were welcomed warmly, on a very busy Saturday. Our dim sum were delicious. We felt we didn't select the best main meals. Generous portion size.

Unbelievably poor service. Staff was rude and rushed to get our order—as if they wished we weren't there; as if we were an inconvenience! Then, the food: Tasty, but very small portions and it felt like it was frozen beforehand and defrosted right before being delivered to our table! I am pretty sure this is what happened because the food had arrived at an astronomically high speed. Would not recommend and would definitely not visit again. Even if they paid me to do so.

Best dim sum in town for me, fast service and testy food. To be very honest if you like to try dim som they had an excellent choice and you need to open minded to try new thing , their standard Chinese food are super testy too

As I'm pescatarian I wasn't able to eat many food but they do have quite of different food where I was able to eat

I have been to this restaurant before for quite many times , and the food was okay. Many things have been written about the poor attitude towards the client, but let me tell you what happened this evening. Upon ordering the omelet , pieces of egg shell were found inside of it, not just one but many. I mean sometimes mistakes happen and it’s understandable but after i pointed out this to the waiter instead of apologising or at least being understandable of situation, he said and I quote “there are shells in the egg cause it’s fresh innit…” Seriously the old waiter was trying to prove to me it’s okay that there are shells in a damn omelet, I don’t care about the money I’ve spent there , but putting your customers at risk by providing them dish which is dangerous to swallow, and not even accepting your fault and behaving in a rude manner, is totally unacceptable. For people who put 5 stars to this restaurant try coming on a busy evening , wait in the queue for ages , listen to the staff complain at you , and wait for their attitude when you point a fair mistake the chef has made.

Good dimsum! Was craving for it and it cured my home sick! 👌🏻👍🏻

Love eating at Mei Dim - great selection on the menu & each dish we've tried has been delicious 😋 🍜 hot & sour soup, veggie spring rolls, ribs, lemon chicken... No fuss, no pretention, simply good!

Ok restaurant but not great, good price for what you get but nothing special

First time coming here for dinner and we came in as a group of 8. I was pleased to see dim sum was still around after 5pm but we mostly ordered main dishes. Decent portion at reasonable price since it's in Chinatown / city centre. Service was good and attentive considering it was quite busy at that time. Would come back again.

Nice steamed custard buns and prawn steamed buns for starter. They were the highlight of my meal, freshly made and very nice, highly recommend. They were on the Chinese menu not the English menu.The mains were also nice barbecue duck with rice and belly draft, pork with barbecue rice.The restaurant was quiet and the food came very quickly. Recommend a visit.
