It was our first time we visited Manchester together and we visited China Town and walked past this restaurant after a guy said to us politely would you like a table for two but we polity turned it down and we went to look for other options however everywhere was fully booked. So we decided to go back here and see what it will be like.So we had a table given to us and it was quite busy but didn't affect us in anyway but we waited quiet a long time to be given our food. we both have a lot of patience when it comes to great food so we didn't have any complaints when the food arrived and when we tasted the food. It was delicious. We will be back again for sure!!!!! A lot of respect for this place! 👏Thank you for your pleasant service and food!

I have been going to The New Emperor for a while, it is actually one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in all Manchester: amazing food, excellent service by a lovely lady who is a real pleasure to talk to. She is very friendly, quick, but she will find always the time to explain the menu, talk about the different dishes & advise accordingly to your preferences. All my friends love it too. I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese food, but is also looking for a lovely, genuine & traditional ambiance.

Saturday night, 7.00 pm, empty cold restaurant, should have run a mile, schoolboy error. The rest of China Town was rammed with half hour waits and we we're starving, so why not. A bit like the disco in the Inbetweeners movie, large and totally empty..I had a tooth breaking sweet and sour pork (Nasa may be interested in the adhesive qualities of the batter) served by waiters wearing anoraks.Wife had an adequate prawn something, both had gloopy rice.Would recommend if it was a prison menu, but I paid £50, both drank tepid Chinese tea.To be avoided.

Please be awared that you will have to wait 20 mins to get the menu, 30mins for the drink and another 10mins for the food. We have finished the food within half an hour but having to wait an hour is ridiculous. Very very slow customer service. They did not really know what to do.We even saw some other clients left after waited a long time.- The roasted chicken was completely cold and greasy.- The Ha cao was uncooked, cold and the xiu mai were full of pork fat.- Xa chiu fried rice was ok but not much flavor- Mixed vegetable was plain.A very small class of pepsi was £2,5 and it was not even served in the bottle or can. The Pepsi was brought to us when it's already in the class. Not recommended and will not come back here again.

First try here! The lunch deal is superbbb. The price is decent and food is tasty. We have also ordered some spring rolls and cheong fun. If you like something crispy as your appetizer, go for the vegetarian spring roll! You won’t regret it ~ staffs were very friendly and welcoming as well

Foods came out cold, not warm or hot at all, especially the har gow, they were barely cooked, they were doughy and cold. We waited 1 hour until our first drinks got served. Definitely my first and last time here

Really yummy lunch for two. The £6 lunch option is a really treasure if you're on a budget but still want to enjoy good food. We opted for that and paired it with a delicious beef chow mein - full of tender meat, cabbage and tasty Noodles. Very good.Interesting atmosphere. Absolutely memorable host!

Such a warm & welcoming restaurant! The food is always delicious, piping hot and brought to the table super quickly. The £6 lunch is an absolute bargain, as is the Sunday Banquet. Highlights are the salt & pepper wings, chicken & sweetcorn soup!

Warm service makes you feel like being home. Don't miss their home-made rice noodles, it is very delicious and impressive, better than any other Chinese restaurants in China Town. Roast duck and char siu are also very good. Not very sweet but really tender. I will come here again for their friendly service and delicious food.
