New Shalimar Fast Food - Takeaway in Manchester

Avoid.The staff are so unprofessional, they have a tendency to get rude and ration food. My food was scheduled to deliver 1 hour ago, I called about it and he left the phone without telling me any updates. He didn’t hang up, he just left it on the counter as I heard the background noise of their incompetence for 5 minutes. I hung up and called again but they didn’t answer. It eventually came late and cold. I ordered 4 meals with sauces for each and they only gave 2 sauces, half empty meals, soggy chips.

They made the shop smaller so you can't really sit in there and relax like you use too but it's looks much better. Food quality is amazing. Always fresh always filling

I've not eaten here since change of ownership and I should of gone with my instinct when I first arrived at the shop despite being told 20 minutes my food arrived done after 40 mins and I must say the shalimar special was awful, the lamb was super chewy and the chicken was bland, the chips were barely a portion between them too altough the pizza was good. The kebabs and current seasoning of the meat are awful and tastes cheap I will definitely avoid in the future!

I tried Lamb tikka couple of days ago, as I am a red meat lover I could tell that I was not served lamb but sheep, this shows that they tried to reduce their production costs. i also know this because I have worked in the industry previously. these guys are serving sheep meat in their lamb tikka instead of lamb.

Recently ordered via Just Eat from here for first time and it won't be the last the service and food were great, tasty, well cooked value for money and good portion size recommend

I will suggest to all my friends to try this take away as new management made this takeaway's dishes a new taste. You can order online as well

Perri perri chicken wings & chips not cooked well at all and was cooled. Driver did not want to come to the 4th floor even though I had put on website that I was disabled so had go down for it. Did not receive my sauce even though paid for. I have pepper wings & chips when I have fine into the shop but their delivery service is terrible.

Out with the old in with the new. That's definitely what's happened here. Under the previous management if you ordered food make sure u have a roll of tissues at the ready. When I went in to the new shalimar I was apprehensive at first but hey everyone deserves a second chance right! I ordered a seekh kebab and chicken burgers. The kebab was made on the grill the chicken was deep fried. I got a chicken burger meal with salad and sauce. The burger was at a ok standard the New shalimar serve all kebabs with fresh nan (they are nice fluffy I would order the nan again), salad and sauce they even have mango sauce😋. Pricing wise I have to say it was moderate. From the size of the kebab you really can't complain about the price. The seek kebab was ok it was a little bit on the dry side. Other than that I cant fault the kebab and I didn't need the toilet roll that I had at hand 😁
