Papa John's in Manchester

They've got a terrible habit of sending out the wrong stuff instead of being honest and refunding when something isn't in. I've included a picture of the four Special Garlic dips I ordered as an example.I like this Papa John's (this was a five star review) and I've been ordering for a number of years, but the quality is dropping and mistakes are clearly being made somewhere. It might be time to start looking elsewhere.Edit - Finally changing this review, which was five stars, then two, down to one. I ordered because my mum just died and I couldn't face cooking. The food was so cold it may as well not have been cooked. Go pretty much anywhere else. I don't know what happened to this franchise, but it's no longer fit for purpose.

Pizza made using real fresh dough. You can see the pizza dough orders being kneaded, stretched & tossed. The nicest margarita I've had from a takeaway. Visited twice. Pizza consistently very good each visit. Some excellent money saving offers.

Waited over an hour for the order. Showed as delivered on the tracking app nearly half an hour earlier than it was. Had to call twice and was told it was still on its way, have a feeling they complete the order on the app to make their delivery times look better. I called the shop and the male ‘manager’ hung up on me twice and said they were busy. On the third phone call he said the driver had been and left, can’t be the case as no one buzzed on. He said they did not have my mobile on record which was my fault and he would send back the order but it would be cold. Absolutely shocking and rude service. He would not give me his name to make a complaint. I just ended up saying refund me and he hung up again. No idea if I’ll get my money back. Dishonest and rude manager.

For this order I ordered bacon cheese sticks with my rewards points. What the store sent was paper thin, cooked to a crisp, crisp bread with a bit of burnt bacon on. Clearly they scrimped on the dough because I was using rewards point and not paying. Disgusting way to treat your customers.The food was also stone cold and had to be put in the oven. The delivery took over and hour so that’s probably why. This made the tater tots inedibleIt’s not the first time I have had issues with delivery time or quality with this store and I won’t be using again.

I just received my order 56205601 from papa johns central. I complained because some of my order was missing. And they just hang up the call saying im pranking him. Then i called again and he said he was joking. So i said why did u hang up like that? And he started swearing at me and shouting at me. So i called again with my friend’s number. He said he will call police and when i asked his name, he just said erm.. hongkong. I heard that just because i sounded asian. All i did was asking for my missing item, and he shouted at me, swear at me, and said things are very racist. Its Papa John’s pizza at Manchester central around 10pm. I want a feed back from Papa John’s uk. And i think i really need apologies. It’s such a horrible experience

There was a bit of a wait for our pizza 🍕 but they gave a discount to make up for it and the pizza itself was scrumptious, really hit the spot 😋

After waiting more than an hour for the delivery, the order status was updated as delivered. I tried ringing the store to check what happened, it took 6 attempts for someone to answer and I was told that there is no delivery driver available. I asked how long will it take, the couldn’t answer. Then I asked to cancel it. I placed an order somewhere else. After 40 minutes the delivery driver from Papa John rang to say that the delivery arrived. It looks like they’ve not cancelled it. So no refund and no pizza either.

I’ve ordered a pizza over the phone . He said it’ll be ready in 10 min. I went there after 15 min to give a bit more time but the pizza wasn’t even prepared. When i asked why it’s still not ready the guy stupidly responded like “there was other orders”. Also clearly there is a management issue. I dont think i would order again

Delivery was over an hour and the pizza tracker said that it had been delivered after 25 mins. What’s the point of the pizza tracker if it doesn’t work? None of the food tasted fresh - possibly had been made a while ago and then (slightly) heated up. I won’t be ordering from here again.

I’ve been ordering from this store regularly (probably twice a week- which is too much!) for almost two years now. Recently, they’ve been absolutely dreadful- one time I waited for an hour (I live less than a 5 minute drive away) for a pizza to turn up cold, really poorly made and smothered in garlic- the driver mysteriously appeared moments after I phoned to ask where the pizza was, which is suspicious. Quite often they’ve made the bases far too thin and have been very frugal with sauce and cheese. I’ve tried to order again today only to find my order had been cancelled after I paid (which is annoying, it should be immediately blocked if they’ve ran out of ingredients as now I have to phone up my bank which will be another 40+ minutes wasted). They’re always polite and useful over the phone in all fairness, but their excuse today was that they had ran out of dough (?!?). Out of the thousands of times I’ve ordered pizza in my life I’ve never heard of something so stupid. They also seem to love throwing 50% off vouchers on for a very limited time. How they think they can survive when Dominos does 50% off all the time I don’t know (I’d never order without 50% off)… Now I’m struggling because I don’t particularly want to order from this store again as they’ve been terrible recently, especially considering I’m a very loyal customer- it’s really frustrating as their pizza can taste amazing, they’ve just really let themselves down. It should not be difficult to do it well every time!They haven’t offered any compensation at all- I had one issue a year ago which was minimal but they gave a £5 off voucher even for that. Just ridiculous.Oh. Our rivals deliver 24/7? Okay, we can’t possibly do that, so we’ll provide a worse service. We’re sure that’ll get attention and bring in custom! Wait… Domino’s sells more than us?! How come?!? Huuuuuuh??
