Food was delicious and really good quality. I liked the variety in the sharing platters.

Overpriced and many of our party didn’t enjoy their food. Mine was ok but the quality of the ingredients was poor considering what I paid for it. We felt rushed by the host even though we weren’t taking a long time to decide etc. The sunken tables were very cute though! But I would not go again or recommend.

I loved the food here , although few dishes were expensive and the quantity was too less. Will go for a four stars for now. Will try something new on my next visit and update !

Firstly the food was excellent as it has always been. However, it was just not an enjoyable experience. They moved to an online ordering system despite them having waiters and waitresses. They don't do paper menus which for me is part of the restaurant experience! You have to scroll through the menu as if you're ordering a takeaway! When you order online they add on a 10% "processing fee" and that is not a tip, tips are extra. My friend's order went through quickly. My order took 5 attempts as it kept failing despite my internet connection being fine, so my friend's food arrived way before mine did. In the end she ordered mine for me on her phone. We decided to order on separate phones because we wanted to pay separately. That was a big mistake. Order on one.Other restaurants offer the option of online ordering but for such a good restaurant to remove the option of actually having a real menu to flick through and real people to discuss your order with is just insane. So I genuinely won't be going back unless they change back to how they used to do things when it was a wonderful restaurant to eat at.

we had a birthday dinner on new year's eve and it was a great experience :) the food were served quick and the staff were very accommodating and nice. i had unagi on rice and the unagi here is so, so soft and the sauce was on point. tried the green tea ice cream and it was fragrant. thank you!

I took my partner to Samsi for a birthday meal and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is lovely and the waiting staff were very accommodating and attentive. We ordered a set meal each and they were very good value for money - you get loads of food! When booking I mentioned it was for a birthday and on the night, they brought out a free slice of cheesecake for my partner with a candle, which was a lovely surprise! I would absolutely recommend Samsi.

Sushi was nice but not the best I've had. Service was average. The host/manager person was a little intense.Furniture and decor is tired and could do with some modernisation.Biggest failing I'd the menu. Overwhelming selection and if you're not 100% familiar with the cuisine you will struggle to navigate.

Fantastic Japanese food here, really caring staff and overall a great place.

·

Just a wonderful place to dine. High ceilings, with two huge shűji at one end of the restaurant creates a wonderful ambiance. Then there's the food - so delicious, and seemingly authentic. Finally the staff are also friendly and welcoming completing a dining experience of superlatives.

This place is an absolutely disgrace to Japanese food. “Spicy salmon maki” is basically salmon which isn’t even fresh, with SRIRACHA sauce on top. Absolute abomination. Sriracha seriously, on japanese food?? Where are these people even from??! Their avocado salmon maki - soggy seaweed. Miso soup - cold, even got an empty bowl with only onions in it. Which was not even replaced. Dragon roll - soggy cold “prawn tempura”. Avoid this place at all costs. Not worth your time and definitely not your money. No need to even bother giving it a chance at all. Terrible place. If you want to open a proper Japanese restaurant - At least make an effort or do it properly.
