Sandbar in Manchester

Lively intimate vibe. Bar staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the beers on tap which were excellent. Proper wood fired pizza from the kitchen was delicious. All round am excellent choice for our evening out!

Good beer choice, although some of the keg beers were expensive. £5.70 for something calling itself a session IPA! Cheaper draught options are available. I didn't try the pizza but it looked good. I like this bar. The lived in decor and bookish University staff and students clientele give it a really nice feel.

Have been here a few times, pizzas are good and the menu is now vegan/vegetarian but as a meat eater I still really enjoyed mine. Nice selection of beers and staff are friendly, though could have probably done with more staff on during happy hour times as there was a big queue at the bar last time I came with only one guy behind the bar.Crowd seemed to be more University staff rather than students so nice atmosphere

Great place! I used to go there every week before the pandemic. The staff is very friendly, and the food is great. I recommend their pizzas. A huge variety of drinks available, and they also serve tea and coffee.

Lovely bar. Great selection of pizzas. Can be crowded during busy times but you'll have a great time there. 👍

We love Sandbar. Glorious whisky selection. Fairly diverse range of ales. The card-only policy can be annoying, but the okay for almost everyone. My only gripe is that I can't count on eating there with my dairy allergy.

Always a friendly welcome here. A good choice of beer, wine, ciders and whiskey. The pizza menu has now gone veggie/vegan so there's less choice, but those that they do are great.

Great service and amazing choice of beers. We enjoyed pizza from a menu packed with original and interesting choice, freshly made sourdough as good as anywhere else in Manchester! Great atmosphere too in this very quirky bar, full of history.

Sandbar is an amazing restaurant with the best vegan options of any restaurant I've ever been to, every pizza can be made vegan and all the beers are labelled so it's easy to see which are vegan and which aren't. I could reccommend it more!

Sandbar is a great cool little spot for lunch. Pizza was delish, but the little treat of a caramel with my latte made it!! Looking forward to coming in for a drink in the evening as some nice looking beers to sample too.
