Fantastic chicken waffle pancakes! The portion sizes are huge. The bathroom is very clean. Would definitely recommend.

Yesterday was our second visit to Solita with a voucher. We have mixed reviews of this place as our first visit was less than impressive but yesterday's visit was fantastic! Both reviews are below.02/2022 - We ordered 24oz Wagyu Rump Steak (£48) to share between the two of us. We asked for medium rare and it came perfectly medium rare. It's definitely a 2-person meal and we absolutely enjoyed it. The service was great too. The lady was so cheerful and attentive and we didn't feel thirsty at all afterwards. Highly recommended the steak.11/2021 - We ordered The Manc (£20) and The PBJ&D (£17) burgers. The wagyu beef patties were overcooked and the fries were pale and under-seasoned. The doughnuts on the PBJ&D burger were stone cold.We also ordered the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls which were disappointing. Not crispy at all and salty. The service was average and we were extremely thirsty afterwards.Yesterday's experience has really changed our perspective of Solita. Not sure if we'd order burgers but that Wagyu Rump Steak will sure be on our 'must eat' list again.

It was an old favourite and not been for a while. Bang back on form. Bacon-Ings Burger nearly made me cry tears of joy. As for the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls? Just off the scale. Beer options sadly reduced but it's just a guaranteed win all round.

I've been here twice and enjoyed it both times. I also had vouchers from Manchester Confidentials both times which makes it cheaper -- pretty much half price. The first time I went I had 3 of the slider burgers. I wasn't too keen on the PJ and jelly one, but I think it was just a bit strange because it was sweet. I can't remember what the other ones were to be honest but I liked them. I couldn't finish them because the burgers are actually a decent size even though they're only sliders. The second time I went, I had the 28oz steak which I shared with my partner. The fries and onion rings are supposed to be bottomless but we didn't have any more than what came on the plate because we were full. We also had desert -- mine was the waffle which to be honest I didn't think was great.Another good thing about this place is that there is a disabled toilet upstairs, which is good because it is accessible, the other toilets are downstairs. It also has a beer garden sectioned off, but obviously that's only good during the summer months.Overall though, I really like the place.

We expected to try the challenge burger with 10 patties but sadly was not available when we went. Instead I had the spicy cry for help burger, which was fantastic, and yes did in fact make me cry😢😂. Both burgers were excellent with lovely cheese and patties, accompanied by delicious and crispy fries.

(Visited Dec 2021)I saw this place pop up on the Confidentials app and so came with my friend- the £25 voucher offered us a £50 spend. There’s a mouth-watering choice of burgers and so we went for the Solita Sliders option: you can pick three of them to have in mini form! In order of preference, I had the KFBC, Smoke Break and The Big Manc. It might have been all the bread, but I was so full by the end of it. I’d ordered Canadian Poutine (chips cheese and gravy) on the side, too; I can safely say the portions are ample.I kind of wish I dared to go for the PBJ&D’s (burger served in donuts) but I wasn’t sure about the sweet/savoury mixture. There are hot dogs, chicken wings and steaks for those who aren’t barmy for burgers, and two or three vegan options for good measure. We were going to take a Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake home with us, but they had run out, sadly.Service was good, and I’m tempted to return to give their wagyu beef Sunday roast a try!

Wanted to eat at Solita tonight (31/12/21) with my wife.I’ve been a few times before and always enjoyed it.It’s our 10th wedding anniversary today. I told my wife she’d love it and as we were in the northern quarter we should go.Popped in at 4.30 to book a table for 6pm.Staff said “no walk ins” as they were closing at 8pm but had no customers.Tried again at 6pm when we came out of Abel Hotel, staff said the same.Only 2 customers in the place at 6pm, but still won’t take paying customers.I feel for the owner, paying wages and the staff just want a quiet night.Won’t be going again.

Went on Wednesday for a belated anniversary meal. This place is always amazing every time we go, it's great to have somewhere so consistent in their quality of food and high standards. The gentleman who served us was polite and friendly and the food came by far faster than expected and was of course delicious.A group of us used to go to Prestwich solita every new year's Day until it shut and our visit has made me consider making the trip to Manchester for this year!I guess my only complaint is the new tip system as you can't tip through the card machine anymore and instead do it through "tipjar". A great idea in principle, especially as they have an NCF chip in the cheque folder but scanning it doesn't tip, just takes you to the link where you have to enter your bank details. I would be concerned that this would reduce the number of tips they'd get due to the extra steps.
