Sweet Box in Manchester

Had a really nice meal here. The staff were all lovely and very attending. It was great to be given a separate vegan menu, and the portion size for the noodles was huge, I was very full afterwards. Would go back again 👍

We visited Sweet Mandarin today as I am Celiac and heard amazing things about their Gluten Free menu. It was mine and my husband's 2 year anniversary today and so decided to book here for a meal. The gentleman at the desk when we arrived was lovely. He asked about whether it was an occasion and gave us a card during our meal wishing us happy anniversary. It was a lovely gesture. Given I haven't had a good Chinese in a while, I would absolutely recommend. My husband even said the food was just as good as a normal Chinese. Excellent service and food 😊

After 25 years I finally got to experience chow mein!!!Their gluten free and vegan menus are incredible and I highly appreciated the care they took into explaining the steps they take to cook the food separately. I definitely recommend this family business, it has been one of the highlights of our trip to Manchester and I hope to experience it again!

Great to find a Chinese restaurant so attuned to food intolerances. As someone who needs to eat Gluten Free it was great to have a menu dedicated to these options and lots as an alternative to traditionally battered items.

Our daughter is celiac and finding gluten free Chinese is a luxury. What a gem of a place. Hot, tasty food and more than enough food for us. Lovely staff and friendly atmosphere. Shame you’re not further south or else we’d be ordering a delivery every week. 😃

Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere, waited just under 2 years to visit after having a cookery lesson experience there bloody Covid. Cook books bought and ready to visit again soon.

Gorgeous meal. Like many here I've always struggled with Chinese food due to being gluten intolerant, so we had high hopes when we booked. Not only did they massively deliver, but the service was fantastic too. We recieved cards and birthday gifts, and were still eating leftovers and drinking complimentary Iced Tea days after - they weren't wrong when they said SWEET Mandarin! We'll definitely be back.

The food and service was excellent! If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I would. We went for my birthday and they were kind enough to give me a birthday card. Super sweet touch. I will recommend to everyone I know and we will become regulars there! Planning on going again in a couple of weeks. Thank you so much and thank you for giving multiple gluten free options. Such a great place and atmosphere. I highly recommend!

We visited Manchester specifically for this restaurant. My partner has been coeliac all her life but we've always struggled when it comes to Chinese food. Fear not, fellow Coeliacs! Do not hesitate for one second! The food is fresh, exceptionally tasty and they don't hang about. We visited on our anniversary weekend and Helen and her team made us feel extremely welcomed and we left with a lovely gift to boot! Not only will we back, we will be bringing others too. Everything on these photos is all Gluten-free; book, eat and thank me later.

After only just being diagnosed as coeliac, I was worried about visiting Manchester but come across this amazing restaurant.The staff were lovely and assured me about the gluten free options available. Everything in this picture is gluten free. I personally loved the different menus on the table to avoid the embarrassment of asking for the GF menu. The food was absolutely delicious too.We will definitely be back on our next visit to Manchester. If you are around the area it is a MUST!
