Staying close by, and on seeing this pub early evening, I was looking forward to dropping in to for a last drink. Despite saying online that the closing time is 12:30am, on approaching at approx 11pm, we were turned away by door staff stating that they were now closed. The pub was clearly lively inside. We were a couple looking for a quick drink not a gang of lads. Disappointing.

Member of staff female, bad mouthed me when I was queueing in a line. When I asked why I was being ignored in a queue for a drink... I was totally sober and she didn't like my posh queen's English.... Needs to be trained on etiquette..... Could not accept that she was wrong in any way shape or form.... I pity her... And no she wasn't a teenager, this was a grown woman...... Embarrassed 😳 my date as well.

Nice little boozer - saves food but not on the monday me and my wife was in . saves diamond large - also as a joke box's . toilet can do with a lick of paint and fixtures need looking at in the Gents toilet. hand dryer not working - one of the taps not working - one of the Urinal covered over with black bag new toilet roll holder needed - But overall in a great location. And staff was friendly

Friendly proper boozer, one of many few still left in Manchester city centre. Large and cheap selection of beers/ales do you right, while in the chatty yet quiet atmosphere.

We did originally go in for food, but at the time kitchen was closed.. but the gentleman behind the bar was very kind, and informed us of other places to eat.. while we stayed the beer was good, diamond I can recommend.. overall lovely place.. shame we didn't eat but maybe next time..

I realise it's a City Pub. It used to be a working man's pub.resonable prices. But at £3 30 a pint ,I think over the top. When you can walk down the road and buy.hand pulled beer for a pound less..
