Lovely, Homely, Local type Pub. My tip is to aim for one of the window seats, which give unrivalled panoramic views of the varied Didsbury Wildlife, from the lowest form of Hunter-Gatherer,- The Metropolitan Dimpper, lifetime mash-heads, constantly circling, looking for any dropped fag ends, up to- The Puni-Uni, a Post-Grad Fake Jogger, wearing who only ever seen walking to some deli or other, despite wearing head to toe high end running gear & iPhone took in his armbandSeen here as famous local drinker, Buzzer, nips home

Great pub for a quiet solo whisky or a huge night out. Emergency condoms can also be found hidden at Burton Road tram stop, in case you get lucky. All in all 5 stars.
