Nice pub good atmosphere but had to wait ages to get served only 1 person serving. Felt sorry for her. Left after 2 pints would have stayed longer if service was better.

First time in this pub. I've admired it from the outside many times and now also admire the inside; there's beautiful panelled walls and bar, impressive sweeping staircase and a very warm atmosphere here.I had the sandwich and drink deal and it was fabulous, a really tasty hot brisket sandwich with chips and a pint of Guinness for £9 ! What's not to like?PS, shout out to Marie on the bar and Tom the chef 🤩

Two members of staff working, not too busy when we went in, they were happy to stand at the end of the bar and chat to each other, neither came to clear glasses from our table from previous customers, nor the other tables around us. New member of staff came in and cleared the tables. Prices are quite high for the lack of service. Won't be back. Decor is nice.

I previously wrote a review about this bar, but got mixed up with another place we visited that day, so I'm writing a new one to say sorry for a negative review, sawyers arms is very pleasant, with cosy little table and TV ideal when footballs on, all staff pleasant. We will definitely visit again

Nice atmosphere and waiters are very attentive. We ordered some sandwiches that were tasteless though and waited an hour for them to come!

A busy little pub, but bar staff dont keep you waiting long to be served. Loved the gin bar area upstairs with some lovely flavours not seen in most pubs. Good atmosphere & would go again

One of those I highly recommend. Good service, good atmosphere etc. Bathrooms checked out good too. Sport on the big screen TV although cricket during my visit but Football was up later on. Bear normal standard from what we tried but the food was really good, we tried the fish and chips, the hunters chicken? and the meat and nicolsons pale ale pie. All good but the gold medallioned pie was something extra. All positive but be aware it is in UK so stay away from the door since it is windy inte autumn (and winter I expect).
