Excellent local pub. I've been coming to this pub since the mid to late 80's. It's a top quality traditional English pub that appeals to older clientele. This is not a place where you will be alongside a group of rowdy young people, it's just not that kind of place. It's a place to sit with friends and have a good conversation over a few drinks. Once inside you could be forgiven for thinking that you are in a small village in the middle of nowhere, it's that kind of place.

Excellent! Our Pub in the Countryside. Food is Excellent with quality ales and spirits.This pub is off the beaten track but in easy walking distance from Debdale Park, the A57, Gorton Centre, Abbey Hey and more importantly, my home.
