The Waterside Restaurant & Bar in Manchester

Really nice restaurant over looking the canal. Iv been here a few times and the food has always been great. The atmosphere is welcoming and the building itself is lovely.

Had dinner with me mam 01/03/22 what they have done to the place is amazing. The atmosphere and new bar area is great,the staff are so nice and helpful nothing is to much trouble. We'll done Jo&Paul yous have made a good place even better.

We visited here with my nieces as a treat. We were quickly seated and given menus. 4 of us picked different Sunday roasts and my youngest niece ordered from the separate Children’s menu. The food was absolutely amazing - I had a vegetarian roast and can say that this is the best vegetarian roast I’ve ever had. Everyone loved their food and we couldn’t fault the establishment. We were very pleased with the service and food - we will definitely be returning!

From start to finish what an amazing experience, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is decorated beautifully and the food WOW left me just wanting more and more. The atmosphere is so chilled and you don't feel rushed at all as in the past I have been out to various other restaurant where you almost feel pushed out the door but not here you just get made to feel welcome. Definitely a must for anyone who wants fine dining with and very personal touch to it. Thanks Paul

Somewhere I’ve been wanting to try for a while. Great meal, great atmosphere and great staff! All round 5 starts! Steak Alfredo Pasta, seafood linguine and salt n pepper chicken were all great! Had a deli board as a starter and that was also top marks! Will be back!

Myself & 33 colleagues had our Christmas get together here (15.12.21.) and all agreed that the quality of the food and the service was exceptional. As such a large group we were placed in the Lighthouse area of the restaurant and must say the decor was very festive and welcoming. I also found the drinks prices reasonable and a great choice. We chose the Christmas menu, and ordered in advance due to numbers involved, at £28-95 for three great quality courses very reasonable indeed. Very well done Paul/Jo and the wonderful team, till we meet again.

The Waterside is in a lovely setting by the canal and looks smart inside. We sat outside to eat just because it was easier with a dog and pram. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Food was good, reasonably priced and enjoyable. It was good pub food.

I went there for the first time last week. It was a very pleasant experience thanks to the staff on duty. They were mainly young people and ever so polite and efficient. The food was lovely and the restaurant had a friendly cosy atmosphere. I would certainly recommend it to my friends.

The atmosphere is great here dog friendly, Absolutely beautiful food, the staff are lovely and nothings a hassle. Will definitely be back thanks guys

Decided to come to the waterside last minute this evening. Venue has seen refurbishment which looks very good. Also the food was delicious (I had pork belly with pickled cabbage and fondant potato) they have introduced a specials menu (which will be changing weekly) which was delicious and what I feel the place really needed as I stopped coming for food as the menu had not changed in a long time. The service provided was professional and friendly by all staff which I feel was tons better than previous visits. The cost of the meal was very good and overall the value was great. I will definitely be coming back to see what other specials the new sous chefs have to offer!
