Trof - The Deaf Institute in Manchester

we went to see Ozric Tentacles soundsystem upstairs at Deaf institute- nice enough place for a gig,but way too pricey for beers,(fiver a pint) hardly any choice upstairs,just expensive cans or weird pale ale on draught that ran out halfway through gig.........power mad doorstaff too Im afraid....saw words between customers and doorstaff and even a manhandling of two customers off the premises.....I didnt feel very comfy at all apart from being in the gig room around like minded friends.....This is meant to be a groovy happening student venue thats been around for ages- sort your prices out and especially your over zealous doorstaff!!hopefully ozrics wont play there again ......😒

Great venue, small but decent enough size for the band seeing. Nice terrace area to escape to! Great sound quality for Ozric last night!

Went to a concert with a friend. Very cozy vibe, fab staff. Their foods are tasty with good price. A lot of vegan foods available and the menu is playing with words - very interesting! The upper floor for the show is not big but quite enough for you to have fun. They even have a little balcony above the stage! You can stay super close to the band/players and the view from the balcony is pretty good.

Had amazing food from This Charming Naan. All plant based and super tasty. Loved the playlist too. Always have a great time here, drinks are also good.

Bollox Halloween Mince - a brilliant night out for Halloween 🎃 People had really made an effort to turn up in their best scary costumes.Music on all 3 floors of this beautiful building. What She Said took residence below stairs, in the crypt. Must say, this was my favourite floor. The tunes fantastic and atmosphere friendly.

One of the most intimate live music venues. Big enough to create an atmosphere but with a vibe that feels like watching a band play in your lounge. The Dolly Parton wallpaper in the loos is worth a visit in its own right 😀

Intimate venue with an interesting layout, quirky decor, good acoustics. Always enjoy visiting.

Nice venue big bar down stairs the concert room was not the biggest but nice and cosy decent bar got served pretty easy nice selection of ales mostly cans and bottles old ales . Good sound coming from the bands there was quite a few seats at the back cinema style which some people appreciated their was also some VIP seats on a balcony with a big rsj running through it didn't look very comfortable. The beer prices weren't the cheapest but the staff were friendly would go back

This is a bustling, friendly and cosy dance hall and cocktail bar on a landmark, roman architecture styled building on Grosvenor street, which is close to the busy Oxford Street in Manchester City.The DJs were on full blast! It was such a lively and fun outing. I can't say how affordable the bar is, but it appears they've got a decent selection of drinks on the menu, and the staff are quite friendly too. They also have an interesting long list of upcoming live music shows, hopefully I'll be lucky to see one of them.  You should love this place. Lol
