Lovely atmosphere for drink! They have a lot of choice and some lovely signature cocktails. The bar isn't too loud so it's perfect to chat with your friends. The food is more like tapas and it looks really good! I would definitely recommend it for a drink on burton road or a small bite

The main menu (small plates) and weekend roast menu are both exceptional. Visited recently and can comfortably say it's the best meal I've had in a looooooooong time.

I have lived nearby for almost 4 years now. Volta never lets you down. It manages to make simple food very very tasty with lots of beautiful flavours. I'm not surprised it has won awards before. It is the best restaurant on Burton road in my opinion!

Great experience to sit and enjoy an amazing coffee and chat with the incredibly passionate brewer who roasts the beans infront of you. From plantation to roast to cup.... u can't get any more authentic!!! You guys have a new regular customer! 👌👍

So we actually came to Volta because we saw a review about them doing a good Sunday roast. We were a little disappointed at first because we knew what we wanted but wow did they turn it around. My partner and I had the;- Fried Goats cheese- Muhammara- Green beans- Rump Steak- Flat bread- Scallops- Potatoes - mind-blowingly good- Sticky toffee puddingThe food was amazing, the staff were lovely. The only criticism is that for those of us that the furnishings are small and there's barely any padding. I left happy and full but with a numb arse. The only thing that didn't give it 10/10 was just the seating arrangements and the need for comfier chairs. Other than that it was awesome - thank you

Really good food and great service. Was hard not to order the entire menu.

Best tapas I’ve had! My favourite was the scallops and p bravas!

Very good wine selection, great beers and pleasant staff. Food is a cut above usual cafe bar offering.

What a gem, our first meal out of lockdown and it couldn’t have been better. The service was friendly and super attentive. We tried not far off everything on the menu and every single plate was a hit, such good quality food, fresh and full of flavours. The cocktails were also nice and the outdoor seating are was well set out post Covid. We’ll 100% be back again and I’d highly recommend them. The chicken skewers and the Goats cheese were my stand out faves!

I've been coming here now on and off for a number of years and I've really not had a bad experience. The staff are always considerate, friendly and helpful so you can't go wrong for a good experience if you're visiting for a drink or something to eat. Weekend dinner reservations are a must. I don't think I've ever seen a table on a Saturday night that doesn't have a reserved notice on it. The food is absolute class. Small plates menu gives plenty of choice and opportunity, often with new dishes offered to give every visit a new twist. Vibrant worldly dishes that will impress you time and time again. Nothing is spared in delivering absolute quality every time. Vast drinks menue with real ales being changed almost bi-weekly and a good choice of wines and fizz. Personally enjoy the house prosecco and cava which seem to relatively compliment most dishes but if you feel like pushing the boat out they offer a fantastic tattinger brut, enjoyable every time. Photos include the dishes I tried this evening. One dish I actually ordered again as it was so enjoyable (Shanghai pork bao).
