Burgers were absolutely full of flavour, really delicious and fresh. The food was really fantastic value for money and the staff were incredibly friendly and the nice touches with the burger boxes etc have definitely earned this place a return.

Best vegan burger, I've ever eaten! Very attentive, quick service and cater very well for gluten free, would stop by again on my next work travel! Peace

The main point of coming back to Manchester is to come here. I have never experienced vegan food like this. Burgers; superb, tater tots; amazing (would recommend the chaat or Thai tots!!) I nearly ordered another burger to take back to the hotel with me.... I wish there was one closer to me as I would definitely be a regular. Keep doing what you're doing ❤️

Wholesome Junkies was one of the first restaurants I visited when I moved to Manchester in 2019. I adored their place in the Arndale and was impressed to hear they'd opened a restaurant. I visited their new location on opening day and had a lovely burger, tater tots, and chicken bites. However, I then made several trips to the new location again once their inside restaurant had opened on days that both Google and their own social media stated they were open, only to find they were closed. Finally, I made it to the restaurant on a day they were actually open and was extremely disappointed with what I was greeted with.Firstly, the restaurant itself is tiny with little space between tables and only one toilet. The table I was seated at was also next to an inconvenient staff area with fridges, step ladders, and other bits and bobs which were distracting from my dining experience. I would prefer to sit and enjoy my food without staff rummaging around next to my table every 5 minutes. These supplies need to be in the kitchen out of the way of customers. My partner and I then ordered: two portions of tater tots, two portions of chicken bites, two drinks, and a KFC burger. We were informed that they had run out of tater tots (despite it only being 5pm) so substituted for fries. After a bit of a wait (considering we could see our drinks in the fridge next to our table anyway), we finally received our drinks. Then some time later, received our chicken and chips. I assumed my burger was on the way, so waited 10 minutes only for it to never arrive. After asking staff where it was, I was told he "didn't catch that" and one hadn't been ordered. This was not good enough as staff are literally paid to "catch that" and should read the order back to customers to ensure they have not missed anything. I was asked if I wanted one making but there was little point to this as I already had the rest of my food.In the end, I was offered a dessert on the house so I accepted, but after such a long wait to make it to the restaurant on a day they were actually open, this was not the food nor service I wanted. The chicken is very nice, though not enough to redeem the fact I only received a third of the items I ordered. It is clear these are very early days for Wholesome Junkies and are far from being equipped to run a functioning restaurant, especially with strong local competition elsewhere.

Kimchi Chikn Burger and Thai Tots were amazing! The freshness and flavors were on point and nothing I’ve had before in a vegan restaurant. Next time I’m in Manchester I will deff order from here again.

So they moved to Mirabel St and have those lovely tables to sit outside. Great idea if you want to sit in sun for your lunch! I recently tried their burger and then the oyster mushroom burger (sandwich), the food is delicious and the wine and beer menu tops it all. The staff is super cool, chilled and friendly, and make sure you’re happy with what you’re getting and eating down to the tiniest detail. On the whole it’s a great addition to this side of the Arena which really lacks nice spots to eat and drink and (especially) sit outside when the weather is nice.

Incredibly tasty burger, quick, and a good price. A little hidden but worth seeking out.

Saw Wholesome Junkies a few years back and never did I ever thought I would finally get a chance to try it. It did not disappoint at all as it was so delicious! There were so many options and I just wanted to try them all. Lovely staff too who patiently gave me recommendations and I finally decided on his favourite - the Chilli Cheese Burger. Though just to note your opening timing isn’t accurate on Google.

Honestly the best burger I have had in years, possibly even since becoming veggie, highly recommend the Chilli Cheese Burger. Mind blown, sploosh. Loaded fries an absolute win, and my wife enjoyed the KFC burger very much too. OMGosh!

Fantastic place for a proper vegan burger! It’s the best I’ve tried yet. Reasonable prices and lovely staff. Such a wide variety of different burgers. Would definitely recommend
