They refused to give me an allergy menu and then made it as difficult as possible for me to find out what allergens were in each dish. Felt like I was back in the 90s. Terrible experience and would not recommend. Staff were friendly, although massively incompetent

Was here for a meal about a month ago which was lovely. Food was really good and dog friendly too which is a bonus. The following week however we popped in for lunch while rugby was on. It was really busy but there were a few tables free. I asked a waitress if the tables were free or had they been booked. She asked "what?" then walked off when I started to ask her again. Extremely rude for no reason and put a bad taste in my mouth due to this particular staff member. So disappointing.

Lovely staff tonight, Matt the manager is the best. Toilets smell amazing and the Espresso Martini made from scratch (not on the menu) was perfect! Thank you, we'll be back xx

Went with a big party prebooked. Took about an hour and a half to get food.I think the most worrying thing about this place is that the toilets are absolutely filthy. There's piles of dust on top of the urinals which shows they haven't been cleaned for ages. It's really not a good sign for a place that serves food (eventually)

Booked a table for 17:00, we arrived and found our table. As we walked to our table a member of staff asked if I'm "X", I confirmed and we ordered food through the app. A lot of the food was sold out. Only veggie roasts left, nothing from the grill.Over a hour past and no food, we played some of the games available, a lot of the pieces were missing. We asked the staff how much longer, we were told theres an hour wait for food. No one told us this, we would have gone somewhere else if we knew.I ordered a chicken burger with fries. It was overcooked and very dry, two other party members ordered a burger and hunters chicken. All overcooked. One member got the gammon, that was okay.I completely get staff shortages in the current climate, but over an hour wait for sub par food wasn't worth it.

What a nice pleasant Pub. Met a friend here for dinner, and was greeted nicely with friendly staff. Phone network was not good there (not their fault) which meant we ordered at the bar instead of the App - Which is quicker, easier and friendlier anyhow. Food was good, great value for money, another reviewer stated overpriced, this was £12 for a plateful of well cooked and tasty chicken. Some people expect 5 star hotel food and pub prices. All in all, a typical Pub, yes there may be some beer stains on the carpet or a lick of paint is needed somewhere, you just need to remember it is a pub, not a restaurant. And therefore has a much better atmosphere.

Love the changes since I was last in here (years ago) very pleased to see it open. Love what they've done with the outside area, friendly staff (even brought out a bowl of water for my dog) and great choice of drinks for humans too ha! Think I've found a new favourite again, will be trying the food menu next time.

Nice old building and a good selection of beers.Food however is overpriced and of poor quality. When it did finally arrive the mixed grill consisted of those cheap sausages you get at a burger van, rubbery chicken and overcooked onion rings. Steak was tough and over cooked. They asked how I wanted my steak at till, I said rare. The only thing fresh on the roast was the broccoli. The macaroni cheese tasted bland (maybe from a tin?) served with a dry unambitious side salad.Had to ask the waitress 2 times for our sauces.Rosemary salted chips came without the rosemary salt. The toilet was grubby and mouldy with a cracked toilet.Don’t bother eating here if you have the choice. They obviously don’t have any trained kitchen staff.
