The Restaurant is lovely, very clean and comfy seating. The staff were really friendly, polite and very efficient, and made to ask if any of us had allergies. My dad can't have cheese anymore due to a bowl problem and while I don't have a cheese allergy, it just makes me sick. They were able to make the pizza without cheese. My mum thankfully doesn't suffer from allergies so she just had a normal pizza. The pizza was delicious, nice thin crispy base, the sauce was just the why I like it, sweet but not too sweet, with a descent amount of topping. The sweet I had was a chocolate fondue and it was perfect. Both mum and dad enjoyed the pizzas they had and really liked the wine. While it was on the pricy side, between the 3 of us, it was worth ever penny. I highly recommend the Riva Blu, it's got a great atmosphere and really good menu that caters to all tastes.

Daughter treating me to drinks and a meal for first time as recently been in new job for 6months. Cocktails were great! Food lacking in any flavor , seasoning and poor quality mussels - full of grit. Do not choose for a special occasion as we did. Staff appear nervous and lacking in any communication connection. Daughter left 75% of meal and didn’t even ask if everything OK. She didn’t want any fuss so didn’t complain even though they added the gratuity to her bill. Will never return to this restaurant . Really disappointed as new visitors to Manchester. Daughter starting Nursing Degree in September. Staff in bar and front desk lovely.

Nice location and good food. Visited here to celebrate my dad's birthday. I had the burrata to start and then lasagna for main, both of which were really tasty. The menu is quite big and there is a lot of choice, however, I think it's quite pricey. For four of us, drinks, starters and mains the bill came to approx £150. My options were on the cheaper side, the lasagna was about £12, but there are some dishes that are nearly £30, imo that's a lot for a chain restaurant. It's a nice spot, good decor and helpful staff, it was packed out when we went so popular as well. I'd go again.

Had lunch yesterday and have to say it was fantastic! The service, the food, the atmosphere, everything was spot on. I wish we had asked our waitress her name because she looked after us so we'll. It was my partners birthday, something that had been mentioned briefly when booking, and amazingly they remembered and brought a little cake out at the end with a candle. It was lovely. We will definitely be back and will be recommending everyone to pay a visit when in Manchester. Thank you and well done to all. Such a lovely place.

Was glad to get table for 4 at Sunday lunch time, friendly staff and our sharing platter for 4 was delicious. 3 of the mains were good - seafood linguine, fried chicken( large portion!) and chicken in capers sauce. I had sea bass in bed of tomatoes and olives with side serving of spinach which were both below average and very disappointing with not much flavour. Pricey for what was served, was expecting much better. 3 stars for the value for money basis + food taste. Can’t fault the staff all around 👏👏

Average - not great. I expected more for the money. Steak was way over well done to the extent of inedible. We asked for medium - well. When we told them the steak was too tough they told us it was medium well. They made another steak however which was well done rather than medium well but at least edible. Other meals were ok, nothing amazing. Lasagne was a bit black around the edges. Desserts were great. Service needs improvement. Waiter forgot our tea order and waitress forgot to get us some sweetener. We shouldn’t have to ask twice.

Absolute delight. I went there to meet my best friends for the first time after the pandemic started. Mariano, the waiter, was an absolute star, helpful, caring and all the good in this world! Top customer service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐My friends had 2 bellinis. He prepared one that wasn't even in the menu (peach) and I had some beautiful Italian coffee with vegan milk (almond and soy). The experience was rather great. We had some beautiful Italian tapas, vegetarian, non vegetarian and vegan. It was a gift from the house and they were delicious!Mariano made the experience so unforgettable that we have decided Gino is going to be 'our place'.Thank you for everything.

Food is lovely but just a little pricey for what it is, your paying for a name at the end of the day. Service is pretty good and staff are all lovely. Would particularly recommend the courgette fries and Postcard from Portuchino cocktail. Overall, a nice chain restaurant in the heart of Manchester, perfect alongside a spot of shopping or people watching if sat outside

Wow, the customer service I got from here was exceptional! We came here when only outdoor dining was allowed and found that the staff were very hospitable and ensured that we were comfortable always! Even when it started raining like mad they provided blankets because I was freezing cold. The food was also very good, and the creme brûlée was to die for! The best dessert!
