Food looks amazing doesn't it? But it wasn't. The lasagne tasted like water, the chips had black bits in and the peas were overcooked and dry as was the cheese pie and wait for it - the cheesy garlic bread tasted of lamb fat - cross contamination? Made me feel ill. I wouldn't even feed it my dogs it was that bad. And as we walked out Guess what sign we saw - chef required 😒

The rag pudding was phenomenal, and the chocolate fudge cake was melt in the mouth. I also really enjoyed the slush strawberry daquiri. Lovely little place with very tasty food 😍

First time here and I can see why the locals love it.Large car park straight off the road, then in to the bar.Greeted by friendly staff, who told us our table was just being cleaned and would we like a drink from the bar.Good selection of beers and my daughter said the slushy cocktails were fantastic. Sat down with our drinks and looked at the menus. The mixed grill was very good,as was the rag pudding. The vegan 5 bean chilli I was told was plentyfull and flavoursome. The sweet menu will have to wait as we were all full, maybe next time.We will definitely return and a big thank you to all the staff who were very patient and accommodating, well done.

We were a party of 10 for 2 milestone birthdays. The staff were extremely helpful beforehand, they set up the tables with the balloons and banners we dropped off earlier in the day. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The starters went down well too. The braised steak just melts in your mouth. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back.

Great meal off the two courses for £12.95 menu.Minced beef & onion pie for me was delicious, cottage pie for my wife similar. Mega sized chips.Pub/restaurant was full, we hadn't booked, but immediately found a table and soon served with the starter.Panoramic view of the surrounding towns.Service excellent.Well recommended.

Lovely food, large potions is a little bit expensive but like I said you do get large potions. Good services, friendly staff. For me it's a treat meal.

This is a great pub with amazing food. Proper comfort food, nice pint of Black Sheep and a warming fire makes for an amazing experience.

Always amazing to come here. The food is fantastic as are the staff. On this visit I had the chicken stroganoff and the amount of food was unbelievable, and so delicious though I did struggle to eat it all.I love the atmosphere, especially when the open fire is lit (though my asthma tends to argue with that) and the traditional decor is perfect.I love old buildings so it always a treat to visit.
