Eastern Light in Oldham

It’s the chips that get the one star rating. After buying them occasionally each time thinking I’ll give them another try as they can’t always be that bad tonight I’ve been proved wrong. Tonight’s are the worst chips I’ve ever had. They are hard dried up full of eyes and bad bits and must have been kept in the warmer for hours as some are pale on one side and the other side brown as if it’s been near the heating element for hours. On the plus side my husband says the curry sauce is top drawer.

I’ve now been waiting two hours for my food. I received a call off someone there 45 minutes ago asking for the postcode so the driver can find it and then haven’t heard anything back. Half an hour later called them back to see if it was coming, the woman on the phone said she’d speak to the driver and I haven’t heard off them since. They’re now hanging up phone calls and clearly our food isn’t coming now.If they can’t find it just tell us and I’d order somewhere else.Absolutely horrendous customer service and no communication whatsoever, which is a shame because we’ve always loved the food and drivers have delivered to us in the past.Such a letdown.

Brill chippy, lovely staff and great food!

Ordered vegetarian hot and sour soup twice now and always full of meat. Even specified no meat. Good job it isn’t a food allergy! Won’t be returning here again.

Best Chippy in Shaw. Always friendly, always good portions and always tasty food. I loved coming here as a child, and growing up seeing the same family run the chippy makes me so happy.

Order KING PRAWN CHOI MEIN. It was worse what I'm eating, only Salt, ,(soooooo salty ) I'm eating only 4 part of meal and after throw in to the bean......But funniest thing happened after 15 min. I'm have poisoning, and started worming... it was awful.. NEVER AGAIN WILL ORDER

The best chippy in Shaw I think. ...I had meat and potato pie chips peas and lashings of gorgeous thick blackish gravy. ..it all tasted fantastic...hahaha
