Newbank Garden Centre in Oldham

Poor experience today. Piri piri wrap tasted of curry. Scone overcooked and like cardboard. Went to toilet. 2 of 3 closed. Third in, the disabled was soaked on the floor and filthy. That too should have been closed. Such a shame as we have had good experience in the past.

Proper garden centre! Good range of products, helpful staff and plenty of car parking.

Nice place to visit and pop into the town centre for a visit staff very polite and friendly

Small compared to other garden centers ,lots of nice items, scarves, candle's,jams , birthday cards ,cafe ,and a large outside area with lots of plants and garden ornaments .

Lovely place and a fantastic selection of Xmas trees. The female cashier with short blonde hair (aged in her 50s) should not be front of house. I got a bad look when I walked in. I went to the young girl on the other till to my left who couldn't have been any nicer. I asked politely if the shop sold cellotape and got an immediate "No" and another stern look from the blonde lady and she then turned away with nothing further said. I spoke to the young cashier to my left from that point only.I'm sure she does the the job of cashier in a local garden centre well but it was an other wise pleasant experience of buying a Xmas tree for the family ruined by an unpleasant cashier. I would understand if I had asked an award question or complained but it was unnecessary and not what you expect when doing something nice. I can only assume it was snobbery on this ladies part? The gentleman who bagged my Xmas tree up was very friendly and helpful too.It's a shame she is front of house as this is a lovely centre with otherwise lovely staff. Had another great lunchtime treat with good friends (stayed in cafe nearly all afternoon!) Can recommend the high tea - choice of sandwich and massive scone with jam and clotted cream all with tea or coffee. Great value for £7.95. Sorry no photo, was too busy eating it 🍰🤩

Nice place to look round with loads of plants and gift ideas. But is a bit more expensive now than it used to be. Nice cafe with homemade cakes which is good if you want to treat yourself. FREE PARKING TOO.

Great little garden centre. Always have great stock of flowers and pots. The cafe is well priced and has a great food selection. You must try the cakes! Person favourite is the blackberry cheese cake but this goes quick. They also have a great outdoor furniture area too

Best selection of plants and presentation for miles around. Great choice of ceramic pots and most at 1/2 price or just good price. Staff helpful, cafe/restaurant with good coffee and cake and hot meals. Now I have discovered Newbank I will make it my regular garden centre.
